This position is ideal for a detail-driven professional with advanced Xactimate knowledge who can analyze, refine, and strengthen estimates while ensuring all supporting documentation from the field aligns with insurance requirements. Position Overview The Restoration Estimate and Documentation Specialist is responsible for reviewing, revising, and optimizing restoration estimates to ensure proper billing, maximum allowable recovery, and full documentation compliance. This role serves as a quality control and revenue protection function, working closely with project managers, field teams, and insurance representatives. Key Responsibilities • Review and revise Xactimate estimates for accuracy, completeness, and optimization prior to submission, • Ensure all line items are fully supported by field documentation, photos, notes, moisture readings, and reports, • Identify missed scope, underpriced items, or inconsistencies and make necessary revisions, • Cross-reference job documentation with estimates to meet carrier guidelines and audit standards, • Improve estimate narratives and supporting explanations to reduce delays and rejections, • Communicate with project managers and field staff to clarify scope and documentation gaps, • Maintain organized, compliant job files ready for carrier review or audit, • Support billing accuracy and timely collections by strengthening estimate submissions, • Assist in standardizing estimating and documentation best practices across the officeRequired Skills & Experience, • Advanced Xactimate experience required, • Strong understanding of insurance estimating, restoration scope, and carrier expectations, • High-level administrative and organizational skills, • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Proven ability to work independently and under pressurePreferred Qualifications, • Prior experience in the restoration or insurance claims industry, • Familiarity with mitigation, contents, and reconstruction estimating, • Experience reviewing or auditing estimates for compliance and billing accuracyIdeal Candidate Attributes, • Detail-oriented and process-driven, • Confident working with estimators, adjusters, and field teams, • Proactive problem-solver with strong follow-through, • Professional, reliable, and accountable This is a remote position.
