Position Purpose Under the direction of the Director of Sales Development & Customer Service, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) engages with new and existing sales prospects across North and South America through channels such as telephone, email, and web chat. The SDR generates new sales opportunities for our sales channels and follows up on leads created by Roland DGA through trade shows, advertisements, web forms, and CRM mining. In addition, the SDR conducts regular outbound campaigns and leverages lead-generation platforms to identify new opportunities. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams to maximize prospect engagement, strengthen the sales pipeline, and increase closed-won rates. Essential Functions & Basic Duties Lead Management & CRM • Manage and document all sales opportunities in a CRM, ensuring accurate tracking and timely updates., • Handle inbound pre-sales inquiries via phone, email, web chat, and social media to generate qualified opportunities., • Follow up on dealer-distributed opportunities to confirm prospect engagement, purchase outcomes, or pending status., • Close out opportunities in a CRM once they have reached the end of their lifecycle., • Set up new customer accounts and update contact profiles to maintain clean and accurate CRM data., • Manage the Sales Development email queue and respond to inquiries in a timely manner., • Execute targeted communication campaigns to customers and prospects, promoting sales initiatives, special offers, and equipment updates., • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management on lead and opportunity distribution, campaigns, and strategic initiatives., • Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospects, customers, and dealer partners., • Participate in industry trade shows and educational events, representing Roland DGA professionally., • Generate and deliver Sales and Marketing reports to support business insights. Lead & Opportunity Management • Consistently qualify and convert sales leads in a timely and accurate manner., • Drive consistent outbound communication and follow-up with customers and prospects., • Actively support departmental goals and contribute to the achievement of company objectives., • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and special assignments within established timelines., • Receive positive peer feedback during performance reviews as an indicator of teamwork and professionalism., • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred., • Minimum of two years’ experience in Customer Service, Sales Support, or Marketing., • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office., • Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships across departments., • Knowledge of Sales Development processes and systems is a plus., • Familiarity with wide-format printing, cutting, engraving, and/or 3D milling technologies is a plus., • Spanish language fluency (spoken and written) is a plus. $55,000 - $60,000 + variable compensation plan up to $12,000 PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Physical Strength: Active work; standing and moving most of the time. Exerts up to 70 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) WORKING CONDITIONS None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. (Such as in a typical office.) Climate conditions can vary for warehouse work in the Summer and Winter. MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables. Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion and percentage. Able to perform very simple algebra. Language Ability: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style. Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
