Job Description Job Title: Southern California Director of Operations Department: Parts and Service Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Job Summary This position is directly responsible for the operational performance, coordination, and profitability of the La Verne, Santee, and Colton Parts and Service departments. The Director of Operations will ensure consistent operational standards across all Southern California branches by implementing and enforcing company Standard Operating Procedures. This role partners closely with branch leadership, service managers, parts managers, sales teams, and executive leadership to drive operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and support revenue growth. The Director of Operations will actively monitor performance metrics, develop operational strategies, and lead initiatives that improve productivity, safety, and service quality throughout all assigned branches. Duties/Responsibilities • Oversee daily operational performance of the La Verne, Santee, and Colton Parts and Service departments., • Ensure all Southern California branches are operating under the same Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and operational standards., • Work closely with branch managers, service managers, and parts managers to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction., • Develop operational strategies that increase departmental revenue while controlling expenses and improving profitability., • Assist department managers in developing annual budgets and operational plans for their respective branches., • Monitor key operational metrics including labor utilization, technician productivity, service turnaround time, parts availability, and customer satisfaction., • Conduct regular operational audits at each branch to ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and safety policies., • Work directly with manufacturers to ensure quality standards, warranty processes, and product performance expectations are met., • Lead initiatives to improve business processes through data analysis, operational review, and collaboration with leadership., • Review technician labor time, job costing, and work order accuracy to ensure competitiveness, efficiency, and billing accuracy., • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve workflow and service delivery., • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives that reduce operational waste while maintaining high service quality., • Ensure consistent inventory and parts management practices across all branches to support service operations., • Provide leadership and operational guidance to managers when resolving customer service challenges or complex projects., • Monitor customer feedback and service performance data to identify improvement opportunities., • Collaborate with sales teams to remove operational barriers that impact customer projects or equipment delivery., • Lead and participate in regular operational meetings with branch leadership to review performance and align strategies., • Support the implementation of new technologies, equipment, and operational systems introduced by manufacturers., • Ensure all employees follow company safety procedures and work with safety leadership to address incidents or hazards., • Assist executive leadership with facility planning, large repairs, equipment purchases, and fleet management decisions., • Prepare operational performance reports and present findings, recommendations, and improvement strategies to executive leadership., • Develop a strong, adaptable operational organization capable of supporting new technologies and evolving customer needs., • Maintain a strong leadership presence across all assigned branches through regular visits and direct engagement with teams.
