Role Summary The VP, Marketing Technology is a strategic, innovative, and highly technical leader responsible for architecting, scaling, and optimizing the marketing technology ecosystem that fuels growth across all 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. brands. The leader will champion data-driven customer engagement, personalization, automation, and AI-powered marketing capabilities to create world-class, connected experiences across digital, retail, and omnichannel touchpoints. This role blends marketing strategy, technology leadership, data architecture, and product mindset— ensuring our MarTech stack drives measurable revenue impact, customer lifetime value, and marketing efficiency. Key Responsibilities Marketing Technology Strategy & Leadership • Develop and own the MarTech vision and roadmap for all enterprise brands, aligned with business and growth objectives., • Evaluate, select, and manage the full marketing technology stack, ensuring scalability, innovation, and interoperability across brands., • Lead tech strategy and optimization of CDP, CRM, ESP, SMS, mobile app messaging, loyalty systems, and lifecycle automation platforms., • Define and implement advanced segmentation, identity resolution, customer scoring, and real-time personalization use cases., • Champion advanced analytics, predictive modeling, attribution, and experimentation frameworks to improve marketing performance., • Identify opportunities to use AI/ML for personalization, content generation, media optimization, and customer insights., • Oversee integrations between MarTech platforms and eCommerce systems, data warehouses, mobile apps, POS, and third-party partners., • Partner closely with IT to ensure high-performance data flows, API reliability, and platform stability., • Lead and develop a high-performing Marketing Technology team: product managers, technologists, CRM specialists, and platform administrators., • Act as a trusted advisor to brand marketing leaders, providing thought leadership on MarTech capabilities and best practices., • Collaborate with eCommerce, Media, Creative, and Customer Experience teams to enable cohesive, insight-driven execution. Qualifications Experience • 10–15+ years in Marketing Technology, Digital Transformation, CRM/Email/SMS, Marketing Operations, or related fields., • Proven experience leading MarTech for a digital-first retailer, consumer brand, marketplace, or multi-brand enterprise., • Demonstrated success architecting and scaling modern marketing technology stacks (CDPs, ESPs, analytics, attribution, testing platforms, etc.), • Deep knowledge of platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable, Adobe, Tealium, mParticle, Segment, Amplitude, GA4, Snowflake, or similar., • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, identity resolution, first-party data strategies, and API integrations., • Strategic thinker with strong product and technology instincts., • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities., • Strong analytical mindset with a metrics- and ROI-driven approach., • Ability to navigate complex organizations and unify diverse teams around common platforms and standards.
