Job Description Job Title: Batch Mixer / Production Worker Job Description This hands-on manufacturing role supports chemical production and warehouse operations at a Richmond, CA facility. The Batch Mixer / Production Worker handles raw materials, operates mixing equipment, and assists with packaging and material movement to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality chemical production. The position is first shift, starting at 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and is best suited for someone who is safety-focused, physically capable, and comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities • Load raw materials, drums, and chemicals into mixers according to established formulas and work instructions., • Perform batch mixing and compounding operations to produce finished chemical products while following safety and quality procedures., • Package finished products in appropriate containers, ensuring correct labeling, documentation, and preparation for shipment., • Clean and maintain production vessels, mixers, and related equipment to support safe, efficient, and consistent operation., • Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, drums, and finished goods safely throughout the warehouse and production areas., • Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying materials, and organizing inventory., • Assist with general warehouse functions such as staging materials, organizing storage areas, and maintaining accurate inventory., • Follow written work instructions and safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment., • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on production and warehouse equipment as directed., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and resolve issues promptly., • Demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a consistent work ethic to support daily production and warehouse operations. Essential Skills • Ability to lift 40–50+ pounds consistently throughout the shift and perform physically demanding tasks safely., • Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a production or warehouse environment., • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, batch formulas, and safety procedures., • Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to working a first-shift schedule starting at 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday., • Comfort working in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment with hands-on production and warehouse duties., • Authorization to work in the United States. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous manufacturing, chemical production, or industrial experience., • Chemical manufacturing or chemical operator experience., • Ink manufacturing experience., • Batch mixing and compounding experience, including work as a batch mixer., • Experience handling raw materials, drums, and chemicals in a production setting., • Warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general material handling., • Forklift certification and demonstrated proficiency with sit-down forklifts., • Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic preventative maintenance., • Contract-to-hire opportunity offering the potential to transition to a long-term role based on performance. The environment is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of 40–50+ pounds, operating a sit-down forklift, and moving materials throughout the facility. Safety procedures, proper handling of chemicals, and adherence to written instructions are central to daily work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
