Applicants who enjoy and excel in this role may have worked as a: Paraprofessional, Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Teacher's Aide, Instructional Aide, Daycare Assistant, Childcare worker, Rehabilitative Assistant, Educational Associate, Educational Assistant, Nanny, Tutor, Home Care Aid, Mental Health Technician, PCA, HHA, CNA, Home Health Worker, Medical Assistant, Psychologist, SLPA, OTA, and Social Worker. About the ABA Behavior Technician Role: Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the ABA Therapist (or Behavior Technician) is trained to provide 1-on-1 ABA Therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Generally, 1-2 clients are assigned to the ABA Therapist (or Behavior Technician) and a client is usually seen 2-5 times per week. Sessions run for about 3-4 hours and can take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases appropriate to your level of experience and as locally as possible (usually less than 30 minutes) from your home address, school, or other work location. ABA Behavior Technician Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required), • Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation (Required), • Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs, • Experience working with children, • Timely and organized, • Ability to work independently and within a team, • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations ABA Behavior Technician Responsibilities • Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, • Working with families for effective collaboration, • Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner, • Electronic Data collection, • Implementing individualized behavior support plans, • Implementing skill acquisition programs About Us: Homeis the goal of most people; at AKABA, we work with families in their homes, communities and at our center to provide high quality ABA Services.
