Job Description As a valued member of our team, the Maintenance Clean Truck Compliance is responsible for ensuring fleet vehicles meet California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards and Clean Truck regulatory requirements. This role performs advanced diagnostics, emissions testing, and repair of heavy-duty, and fleet vehicles to maintain compliance, operational readiness, and environmental standards. The mechanic will travel to southern plant locations to support inspection programs, corrective repairs, and documentation of compliance activities. BENEFITS: • PPO/HMO Health Insurance, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, • PTO (Paid Time Off), • 401k Retirement Plan, • Overtime pay, • Direct Deposit, • Strong Safety Program, • Employee Assistance Program, • Perform CARB compliance inspections and Clean Truck testing on heavy-duty fleet vehicles., • Diagnose and repair emissions-related faults, including check engine and aftertreatment system issues., • Troubleshoot DEF, DPF, SCR, EGR, and related emissions systems., • Verify proper installation and operation of emissions control components., • Conduct advanced electronic diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools., • Complete corrective repairs and bring vehicles into regulatory compliance., • Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance., • Will maintain appropriate record keeping for Bit inspections, DVIRs, work done description and work orders., • Ensures vehicles meet CHP/BIT/PM inspection requirements., • Complete all maintenance duties as assigned, and repair all equipment on property including, but not limited to, diesel, plant, or yard equipment., • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep vehicles and equipment in compliance with DOT and company standards., • Efficient organizational skills for scheduling and periodization of jobs., • Tracks and schedules with operations or manager on vehicles status and updates., • Ability to read and interpret documents., • Basic math and measurement skills., • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in maintenance repair., • Ability to work independently in various environments. This is a full-time position. General days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours to be determined. Not eligible for remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Required: Between Southern California plant locations as needed. Minimum Education and Experience • High school diploma, • 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel or fleet vehicle diagnostics and repair, • Strong working knowledge of emissions and aftertreatment systems, • Ability to interpret diagnostic trouble codes and technical service data, • ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certification or Equivalent, • Experience with CARB compliance programs, • OEM dealership and or fleet maintenance experience, • Experience with fleet management software Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is regularly exposed to wet or slippery ground conditions. Employees must wear the required personal protective equipment; up to and including safety vest, hard hat, ear protection, gloves, and safety glasses. Able to climb height up to 10 feet.
