Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Assistant Program Director, this position is responsible for providing case management, social services, and employment services to residents of the Residential Reentry Center Service. The incumbent will receive a cell phone stipend. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate with SCTC on treatment offered through CTS programs, • Complete risk assessment on individual offenders and an individualized reentry plan for offenders., • Provide and conduct PREA training and information to residents, • Documents services in biweekly (IPP) and ensures that records are completed according to established policies and procedures of BOP SOW, operation manual, and ACA., • Conducts, completes, and Implements intake and orientation; evaluates residents’ job readiness and formulates employments and or training goals for their Individual Program Plans., • Manages and implements approved Individual Program Plans for offenders., • Conducts weekly audit of residents’ files., • Counsels residents on personal, family, financial, employment behavioral, crisis, substance abuse, educational and training matters, • Coordinates all requests by residents for permission to drive., • Coordinate all passes and furlough requests for residents., • Conducts on site visits to resident’s home and work locations as required by the Statement of Work and monitors and records their progress. Responsible for creating financial plans and other offender financial obligations (restitution, fines, child support, traffic fines, etc.)., • Advises other staff on treatment matters, coordinate team treatment as appropriate and participates in scheduled treatment staffing., • Prepares release plans, release papers, terminal reports, furlough document, and other related documents to partner programs., • Provide technical assistance to security team, • Attend and conduct quarterly training to staff members, • Attend scheduled monthly staff meetings, • Participates in ACA and PREA audits., • Makes decisions on case management-related matters; and advises the Program Director and on-duty staff on issues regarding residents., • Required to evacuate and shelter in place as needed when there is an emergency., • No direct supervisory responsibilities, • Coordinates release planning with Program Director, resident, and the U.S. Probation Officer., • Coordinates Reentry planning of offenders with the Employment Specialist, U.S. Probation Officer, residents’ family members and other agencies as appropriate, the establishment and management of an approved Individual Program Plan for each resident., • Provides coordination and functional direction to all other staff members involved with monitoring resident accountability and security. Maintains critical relationships with the following: • Develop rapport with United States Courts, U.S. Marshalls, Bureau of Prisons, USPO, and local and federal law enforcement agencies. This position requires the incumbent to have: • Bachelor’s degree level and two (2) years of transferable experience., • Requires proven ability in communications, social casework and personal and family budgeting. Demonstrated knowledge of the criminal justice system, human behavior, and social work skills is required., • Must have the ability to work with individuals with criminal, asocial and addictive personality types., • Must be knowledgeable of community resources, develop an understanding of the local employment market, and develop knowledge of available education, training and vocational resources and the ability to be a role model., • Must be able to maintain confidentiality., • Competent computer skills including MS Office and knowledge of office equipment is required., • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, • Organizational, planning, work management and prioritizing skills required., • Problem solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and reliability required., • Ability to structure time, establishes priorities, and work independently., • Problem solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and reliability required., • Ability to maintain flexible work schedule when needed to meet the needs of clients., • Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time the offer of employment is made., • May have to work outside of normal working hours., • Must have a valid driver’s license, access to a registered and insured vehicle., • Must be able to pass all required compliance checks and criminal history investigation, including Bureau of Prison NCIC/NLETS., • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation., • Current driver’s license issued by state of residence, • Current Vehicle Inspection decal, • Current vehicle insurance, • Current vehicle registration in state of residence Work is primarily performed in a normal office environment generally while seated at a desk. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, bend, lift and stoop in performing work. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; and stoop, kneel or crouch. Dexterity is required to performing work with personal computer keyboard, calculator and other office equipment. The employee may be required to stand, bend, lift and stoop in performing work.
