Job Description Location: Tacoma, WA Status: Full-Time, non-exempt Salary: $25.00 - $32.10 hourly About AGS Based in Tacoma, Washington, Advanced Government Services has delivered traffic control and road safety services since 2003. We provide traffic control, ITS Solutions, signage/roadway safety products and services across the Pacific Northwest Region. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate the ATS Traffic Core Values at work every day: • Do What’s Right, • Our People Matter, • Trust Through Teamwork, • Conduct interviews and make final hiring decisions for dispatch and traffic control candidates within approved headcount., • Provide disciplinary action when necessary, including delivering verbal and written corrective measures in partnership with HR and the Traffic Control Manager., • Develop and implement dispatch strategies that balance staffing levels, customer needs, safety and cost control., • Make independent decisions regarding overtime, job prioritization, workload distribution and use of external labor (including union hall requests)., • Forecast resource needs for daily operations, 2–4-day planning, and 30/60-day workforce planning., • Oversee the scheduling of flaggers, techs, TMA drivers and other road crews, ensuring adequate coverage for rental and traffic control jobs., • Maintain standards for dispatch accuracy, quality control, time approval, equipment needs and documentation for job setups., • Resolve escalated customer and field issues, exercising discretion on scheduling adjustments, service recovery and contractual clarifications., • Ensure correct contract and paperwork details after dispatch to prevent billing disputes and revenue loss., • Enforce company policies, safety rules, union agreements and legal requirements regarding hours of work, rest periods and crew qualifications., • Maintain and improve SOPs for dispatch operations and time approval., • Represent dispatch in operational and branch meetings., • Maintain on-call responsibilities and storm duty leadership., • Identify workflow improvements and support LEAN initiatives., • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications, • Reliable, punctual and able to work with little supervision, • Availability to work overtime as required, • Adhere to our safety program fully including passing a drug/alcohol test, • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 operation system, • Knowledge of the rental shop, install, traffic tech, dispatch and coordinator roles, • Completed the LEAN course, • College education in in business, supply chain management, logistics, or production management.Experience, • 2-3 years’ lane closure experience an asset, • 3-5 years of Dispatch/Logistics experience an asset Other perks include: • 401k plan, • Medical/Dental/Vision, Company Paid, • 3 Weeks Vacation + 1 Week Personal Time We thank all applicants for their interest, however only selected candidates will be contacted. *By applying to this posting you will receive auto-generated emails to the account provided.
