Job Description Job Title: Procurement & Asset Manager (Fleet & Equipment Strategy) We are partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-division infrastructure organization supporting utilities, renewable energy, and large-scale construction projects. As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a high-impact Procurement & Asset Manager to take ownership of enterprise-wide procurement strategy and—critically—the management, optimization, and oversight of a centralized fleet and equipment asset database. This is not a transactional procurement role. This is a strategic, data-driven leadership position for someone who has built, managed, and continuously optimized fleet/equipment asset tracking systems, and can translate that data into meaningful financial and operational decisions. You will serve as the central authority for fleet and asset visibility across all divisions—driving utilization, capital planning, and cost efficiency across a complex, project-based environment. Key Responsibilities Fleet & Equipment Asset Ownership (Core Focus) • Own, oversee, and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide fleet and equipment asset database, ensuring accuracy across inventory, lifecycle status, utilization, and maintenance history, • Establish and drive standardization of asset tracking, reporting, and data integrity across multiple divisions, • Partner with fleet coordinators and operations teams to ensure real-time visibility into asset utilization and availability, • Identify underutilized, redundant, or misallocated equipment, and implement strategies to optimize deployment across projects, • Develop and manage fleet lifecycle strategies, including acquisition, redeployment, and disposition planning, • Lead capital planning and long-term fleet investment strategies, aligned with business growth and project pipeline, • Perform ROI and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses to support equipment purchasing vs. leasing decisions, • Audit procurement spend across divisions to identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies, • Analyze vendor pricing and market benchmarks to ensure competitive positioning, • Evaluate and optimize supplier contracts, pricing structures, and performance metrics, • Develop financial models, forecasts, and spend analytics to support data-driven decision-making, • Design, build, and refine centralized procurement and asset databases, ensuring scalability and integration, • Develop KPIs, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to track both procurement and asset performance, • Partner with ERP, IT, and BI teams to ensure data accuracy, system alignment, and reporting efficiency This role requires someone who has directly owned and managed fleet/equipment data—not someone who has only supported it. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Construction Management, or related field, • 5+ years of experience in procurement, asset management, or fleet management, within a project-based environment, • Proven experience managing and optimizing a fleet/equipment asset database (critical requirement), • Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management, utilization tracking, and fleet planning, • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities, • Experience building data-driven reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, • Ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations for leadership, • Experience with ERP systems and fleet management platforms (Fleetio, Samsara, etc. strongly preferred), • True ownership of fleet and equipment visibility across a multi-division organization, • Ability to directly influence capital allocation, cost savings, and operational efficiency, • High exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making, • Opportunity to build and shape systems, processes, and infrastructure in a growing organization Good benefits but I need to get the details on the coverage and who it is through Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Garden City,NY. Application Deadline This position is anticipated to close on May 25, 2026. About Aston Carter Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
