Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 06/01/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Jun 1, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Located in Green Bay, WI at a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center with 167 beds, • Perianesthesia unit consisting of two PACUs (Main and East) in the same building: Main PACU has 33 pre/post rooms and 10 Phase I bays; East PACU has 33 pre/post rooms and 17 Phase I bays, • Combined daily census of 60–80 patients across Main and East PACUs, • Patient population includes both pediatric and adult patients, spanning inpatient, outpatient, and observation status, • Surgical specialties include general, plastics, urology, GI, bariatrics, GYN, minor vascular, neurosurgery (spine and craniotomies), robotics, ophthalmology, orthopedics, cardiothoracic (thoracotomies/pericardial windows, no open hearts), ENT, endovascular, fistulas, bronchoscopies, post-cath, and post-IR/Neuro IR, • Patient ratios: Pre-op 1:3, Phase I 1:2, Phase II 1:3, • EMR: Epic – experience required, • Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing, • Monday–Friday set schedule, 8-hour day shifts (0900–1730), 40 hours/week, • No weekend rotation, no on-call, and no holiday requirements, • Travelers float regularly between Phase I and Phase II Recovery for both Main and East PACUsRequirements, • Active WI or Compact RN license required, • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and either CAPA or CPAN, • Minimum 2 years of Phase I and Phase II PACU experience required, • Epic EMR experience required, • Must have experience recovering post-cath, bronchoscopy, and IR patients (candidates with minimal or no experience in these areas require manager approval), • Hard stop skills required: arterial lines, TR bands, chest tubes, CBI, and Epic charting, • Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and management of cardiac drips required, • Must be able to provide patient discharge instructions (Phase I and Phase II recovery), • Minimum 1 professional reference from within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, • Must provide middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN for considerationAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery, managing arterial lines, TR bands, chest tubes, CBI, and providing discharge instructions, • Bedside and nursing station telemetry available; no telemetry tech on unit, • Support team includes Charge RN, management, CNA/LPN staff (primarily in pre-op and Phase II), hospitalist 24/7, respiratory therapy 24/7, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgeons, • Orientation includes facility NEO and 2 eight-hour shifts in the department, • Staff assignment to Main or East PACU is determined by a daily staffing sheet, • Scrubs must be any solid color, professional — no logos, graphics, or designs, • Free parking available on site, • No more than 4 days of RTO will be approved for the duration of the contract, • First-time travelers will be considered if they have extensive PACU experience, • Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible, • Previous staff members of this facility's PACU unit are not eligible for this position With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
