Job DescriptionFacilities Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift Charlotte, NC | 30 to 32/hr | Temp-to-Perm Step into a role where your skills make an immediate impact. We’re hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our operations running smoothly on 1st shift. This is a hands-on position with variety every day — from HVAC to plumbing, carpentry to general building upkeep — you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping facilities in top shape. What You’ll Do: * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. * Troubleshoot and repair locks, doors, furniture, lighting, roofing, and flooring. * Service plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, drains, piping, and water heaters. * Keep documentation up to date for fire extinguishers and other building systems. * Tackle special projects like painting, locksmith tasks, and tenant service requests. * Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. * Manage PMs, corrective, and emergent work orders through CMMS (Maximo). What We’re Looking For: * High School Diploma or Equivalent. * 2–4 years of facilities or maintenance experience. * Solid skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repair. * Comfortable lifting up to 80 lbs. * Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS systems (Maximo a plus). Preferred: * EPA Universal Certification. * Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience. * Preventive HVAC maintenance background.
