Job Description About the Role The Vendor Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing vendor-funded marketing programs that support both manufacturer partners and Alps Controls’ growth objectives. This role is focused on execution, accountability, and results—not experimentation without structure. This role sits at the intersection of vendor relationships, marketing execution, and performance measurement. It is a hands-on, non-supervisory position well suited for someone who enjoys managing multiple initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally, and translating strategy into execution. You will work closely with Marketing, Vendor Development, Sales, and external manufacturer partners to ensure marketing investments are clearly defined, well executed, and measured for effectiveness. Vendor Traction & Program Maturity Alps Controls is not starting from scratch with vendor marketing. Many of our top manufacturer partners already participate in structured, vendor-funded marketing programs that drive visibility, engagement, and measurable results. This role is designed to scale and systematize an existing motion—bringing greater consistency, clarity, and repeatability to programs that are already delivering value. The Vendor Marketing Specialist will help evolve these efforts into a more standardized, performance-driven offering that benefits both Alps Controls and our vendor partners. Key Responsibilities Vendor Marketing Program Execution • Design and sell annual and quarterly vendor marketing plans aligned with company sales campaigns and strategic priorities, • Plan and coordinate vendor-funded marketing initiatives across digital channels (website promotions, email campaigns, content, landing pages, social) in cooperation with marketing creative team, • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, approvals, and launch coordination, • Serve as a day-to-day marketing point of contact for assigned manufacturer partners and ensure regular communication cadence, • Collaborate with Vendor Development and Sales to align marketing activity with revenue goals, • Work closely with internal marketing, digital, and data teams to execute campaigns effectively, • Track campaign performance, engagement metrics, and vendor investment outcomes in cooperation with Alps Controls Business Analyst, • Assist with post-campaign reporting and performance summaries, • Support tracking of vendor marketing spend, MDF/co-op funds, and program utilization, • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and reporting, • Ensure timely submission of invoices and proof of performance to vendor partners, • Support or attend select vendor meetings, trainings, or industry events as needed, • Share insights and observations that inform future marketing programs and vendor strategy What Success Looks Like in 6-12 Months Within the first year, success in this role looks like: • Own the design and sell of annual and quarterly vendor marketing plans aligned with company sales campaigns and strategic priorities, • Achieve strong adoption of vendor marketing programs across key manufacturer partners, • Develop clearly defined, repeatable marketing packages that vendors understand and value, • Ensure consistent, on-time execution of vendor-funded campaigns, • Clear tracking of performance, engagement, and ROI, • Vendors increasingly viewing Alps Controls as a strategic marketing partner, not just a distributor Qualifications Required • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, vendor marketing, or B2B marketing, • Strong project management and organizational skills, • Experience coordinating multi-channel marketing campaigns, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, • Comfort working with data, performance metrics, and reporting, • Comfortable presenting, positioning, and “selling” the value of marketing programs to external partners, including articulating the benefits of co-marketing with Alps Controls, • Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, or channel partners, • Familiarity with co-op or MDF-funded marketing programs, • Experience in HVAC, building automation, industrial, or technical products, • Exposure to CRM systems, email platforms, or web analytics tools Tools & Systems This role works across several tools and systems, including: • CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar), • Email marketing platforms, • Google Ads Management, • Website content and promotion tools, • Analytics and reporting tools (web, campaign, or dashboard-based) This Role is Not To set clear expectations, this role is not: • A brand-only or social-media-only marketing role, • A hands-on design or production role; creative execution is supported by a dedicated creative marketing resource, • A people-management role, • A sales role, though it does require comfort discussing and positioning marketing value with vendor partners This role is responsible for owning vendor marketing programs end-to-end—from planning and vendor coordination through execution oversight, performance tracking, and optimization—while partnering closely with internal creative resources to bring campaigns to life.
