Job DescriptionStructures Technician Pay: $30/hour - $37/hour Shifts Available: • 1st Shift: Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, • 1st Shift: Thu–Sun, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, • 2nd Shift: Mon–Thu, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM Employment Type: 6‑Month Contract (Potential to Convert to Permanent Based on Attitude, Performance & Attendance) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Structures Technician to support airframe production using advanced bonding and assembly processes. This role involves hands‑on work with composite and metallic structures, including fixture setup, drilling, fay sealing, fastener installation, trimming, fitting, and various aircraft manufacturing operations. Candidates must demonstrate high attention to detail, safety, and quality. Responsibilities • Assemble composite parts and structures of varying complexity and size., • Safely operate shop tools and equipment including drills, die grinders, calipers, and related manufacturing tools., • Drill precise hole sizes in composite and metal structures, including multi‑material stack‑ups, while maintaining correct speeds, feeds, angularity, and tolerances., • Install and work with a wide range of aerospace fasteners such as Hi‑Lite, Hi‑Lok, Composi‑Lok, and standard rivets., • Perform hands‑on assembly on both composite and metallic airframes., • Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and digital models to ensure accurate and efficient build operations., • Provide technical input on repairs, process improvements, and maintenance recommendations., • Use sound judgment to complete moderately complex manufacturing tasks and resolve build‑related issues., • Ensure high‑quality, efficient installations and support troubleshooting activities as needed., • Collaborate effectively with leads, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to meet production goals.Required Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft fabrication, assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment., • Hands‑on experience in precision manual assembly involving composite or metallic structures., • Knowledge of multiple aerospace fastener types and proper installation methods., • Understanding of drill speeds/feeds, hole angularity, and critical tolerances., • Proficient with specialized tools for assembling and repairing aircraft structure., • Ability to identify, install, and remove standard aircraft fasteners., • Comfortable using computer‑based work instructions and digital documentation systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models. #AeroAviJobsAZ Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
