Job Description Job Title: Repair Technician Job Description The Repair Technician will be instrumental in the maintenance and repair of various pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. This role primarily focuses on the assembly and repair of brake systems, with the opportunity for training and certification to work on HVAC systems. Responsibilities • Disassemble equipment and clean as needed., • Perform initial evaluation and inspection of equipment and provide feedback on parts and labor required for repair., • Document evaluation findings and generate a Technician Evaluation Report., • Route wires and install crimp terminations and/or connectors., • Test and record results for subassemblies and assemblies., • Perform component-level and some system-level testing as instructed., • Interpret readings of gauges, indicators, and dials., • Assist in testing equipment and recording test results., • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment., • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment, ensuring compliance with company rules and policies., • Comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations., • Maintain and safeguard business records., • Experience using hand and power tools., • Mechanical and electrical inclination., • Ability to read and follow diagrams and written instructions to perform assemblies and repairs., • Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and inspection tools., • Time management skills to ensure timely repair and overhaul of equipment., • Problem-solving and decision-making guided by policy, routine, and procedures. Work Environment This position involves sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling, with a maximum lifting/carrying capacity of 50 lbs. The work is conducted in a shop environment. The shift runs from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential work on Fridays when available. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.62 - $25.62/hr.
