Training covers basic concepts of scuba diving as well as dive physics, physiology and basic dive medicine. Candidates also learn about equipment such as the MK16 underwater rebreather and MK25 underwater rebreather. EOD School (44 weeks) - After successfully completing dive school, candidates transfer to Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This training comes in several sections, each section building upon the skills learned from previous areas of training. Candidates will train in demolition operations, rendering safe bombs, missiles, landmines, defusing Improvise Explosive Devices (IEDs), protecting and detecting against Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) weapons and mastering skills needed to defeat underwater ordnance such as sea mines and torpedoes. Basic Parachute Training (three weeks) - After completing basic EOD school, graduates attend basic airborne training ("jump school") at Fort Benning, GA, where they qualify as a basic parachutist. EOD Tactical Training (four weeks) - The final phase of training is in San Diego, CA. It teaches helicopter insertion (fast-rope, rappel, cast and special patrol insertion, and extraction rigging), small arms/weapons training, small unit tactics (weapons, self-defense, land navigation and patrolling) and tactical communications (satellite and high frequency). Upon successful completion of the EOD training pipeline, graduates are assigned to EOD mobile units where they gain advanced on-the-job training and experience as members of EOD platoons. Job Description Job Title: Repair Technician Job Description The Repair Technician will be instrumental in the maintenance and repair of various pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. This role primarily focuses on the assembly and repair of brake systems, with the opportunity for training and certification to work on HVAC systems. Responsibilities • Disassemble equipment and clean as needed., • Perform initial evaluation and inspection of equipment and provide feedback on parts and labor required for repair., • Document evaluation findings and generate a Technician Evaluation Report., • Route wires and install crimp terminations and/or connectors., • Test and record results for subassemblies and assemblies., • Perform component-level and some system-level testing as instructed., • Interpret readings of gauges, indicators, and dials., • Assist in testing equipment and recording test results., • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment., • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment, ensuring compliance with company rules and policies., • Comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations., • Maintain and safeguard business records., • Experience using hand and power tools., • Mechanical and electrical inclination., • Ability to read and follow diagrams and written instructions to perform assemblies and repairs., • Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and inspection tools., • Time management skills to ensure timely repair and overhaul of equipment., • Problem-solving and decision-making guided by policy, routine, and procedures.
