Job Description ACERTUS is looking for Local Drivers with a REGULAR drivers license and a current DOT medical card to transport vehicles weighing 10,0001 – 26,000lbs AND passenger vehicles locally in a safe and efficient manner. We are looking for team players committed to providing our clients with excellent customer service. This is a full time position. Drivers can work 30-40 hours a week. Primary function includes, but is not limited to, retrieving fleet vehicles from clients, storage yards, or local offices and delivering them to various locations, ensuring services are performed. Must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management. As a DOT Local driver, you will drive passenger vehicles AND vehicles weighing 10,0001 – 26,000lbs locally. You will begin as a regular driver at the regular driver rate. Once you are approved by the compliance department as a DOT driver, you will receive a $1 raise. You will have to complete a DOT application providing 10 years of work history, a Certificate of Violations, and pull consent for the Clearing house. You must also attend a 2 hour online orientation, which is available every Thursday from 9am - 11am CT, after you can complete your first DOT run. WE OFFER: • $16/hr., • $17/hr. after being certified a DOT driver by the compliance department, • 8am- 5pm, • $250 Driver Referral Bonus! Refer a friend and get paid! WE REQUIRE: • Must be at least 23 years of age. Candidates over the age of 65 are subject to an additional review process for insurance purposes., • Must have a valid and current driver’s license., • Clean MVR, • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check., • No smoking, vaping, tobacco use, eating, drinking in the customer's vehicles or at the delivery/service locations at any time., • One year of driving experience, • Must be able to operate a Smart Phone/Device, • Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions., • Must be able to travel up to 150 miles from the office., • Must be able to get in and out of various vehicles (cars, vans, Sprinter-type vans, 24 -26ft. box trucks, etc.) and be able to operate vehicles assigned., • Previous experience driving larger vehicles (i.e., Vans, Sprinter-type Vans. 24 -26ft. box trucks.) preferred but not required., • Proficiency with computers, hand-held devices, and GPS., • Ability to read and write in English., • Ability to formulate delivery schedules and follow directions., • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail., • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously., • Accuracy in maintaining proper documentation., • Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills., • Able to build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional customer service., • Strong defensive driving skills., • General automotive knowledge to inspect damage, check fuel, jump start vehicles if needed, and safely operate various types of vehicles., • Ability to drive long distances in diverse weather conditions while obeying traffic laws., • Understanding proper response procedures in emergency situations. Job Duties: • Deliver and pick up vehicles for customers at various locations., • Complete an Electronic Condition Report (ECR) after each delivery and pickup., • Use an Uber/Lyft (paid for by ACERTUS) or a chase car when making pickups, deliveries, or service runs., • Transport vehicles to and from service vendors as needed., • Ensure vehicles are compliant with transporter plate and legal requirements., • Follow the Hub Partner Uniform Policy; drivers must always present a professional appearance., • Communicate promptly and professionally with clients and management using the company-issued cell phone, which must remain powered on while on the clock., • Check in and out all company equipment (phones, keys, etc.) at the start and end of each shift., • Monitor company email and UKG scheduling notifications daily for updates., • Submit required documents such as fuel receipts in a timely manner., • Perform minor vehicle clean-up (vacuuming, removing items, courtesy washes, plate installation/removal, etc.) as needed., • Process vehicle registrations at the local DMV, when assigned., • Conduct lot inventory and vehicle inspections as needed., • Perform PAVE inspections/exercises when assigned (including assessment form/check in/departure)., • Must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management ACERTUS is an automotive logistics provider that utilizes technology to provide unparalleled service and visibility into the transportation process accompanied by a full suite of vehicle lifecycle solutions.
