Job Description Job Title: Generator Technician Job Description The Power & HVAC Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics and equipment repairs across various types of equipment, including power generators and HVAC systems. The role involves scheduling maintenance, documenting equipment status, and communicating with customers and team members to ensure efficient operation and service delivery. Responsibilities • Schedule and perform basic diagnostics and equipment repairs for various types of equipment., • Document equipment status before and after rental, including detailed work orders during repair., • Communicate equipment issues to customers, foremen, and supporting mechanics., • Conduct basic diagnostics on Power/Pump/HVAC/Load Bank and Compressor equipment., • Lead installation crews for Power Generator/Distribution/HVAC/DH/Pump/Load Bank project setups at customer job sites., • Maintain service records and create warranty claims., • Perform rent-ready inspections on assigned equipment groups., • Mechanical aptitude with 3+ years of experience working with generators or HVAC systems., • Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair., • EPA Universal (608) certification. Work Environment This field-based role involves traveling to various customer sites in the manufacturing, healthcare, and construction industries to perform preventive and reactive maintenance. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with minimal overtime. Be prepared to be on-call every 3-4 weeks, with very few calls expected.
