Job Description Director of IT Infrastructure $175-$205K Reports to: Chief Information Officer Travel: 10-20%. Location: This is an on-site position in downtown Denver, and we are not considering relocation and/or out of area candidates at this time. Position Summary The Director of IT Infrastructure is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's entire IT infrastructure ecosystem. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that IT systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives while supporting operational excellence and rapid organizational growth through M&A. The role oversees and drives relationships with third-party vendors, with a particular focus on the IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). The Director reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and serves as a key member of the technology leadership team. Key Responsibilities: • Implement strategic direction for the specific infrastructure capabilities: hosting, network, systems engineering, messaging and collaboration, and client devices., • Create and maintain technology roadmaps to support scalability, modernization, and operational excellence., • Perform IT Due diligence and lead integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with enterprise standards., • Management of the organization’s Azure cloud environment, developing and executing a strategic roadmap to migrate on-premises servers and workloads to Azure while ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations across business units., • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Microsoft 365 (M365) services, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and security/compliance features., • Oversee Meraki network Infrastructure (Switches, wireless access points, firewalls) to ensure scalable and secure connectivity across all sites., • Manage and optimize Cato Networks SASE platform for secure, cloud-based networking and remote access., • Provide oversight of Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools such as Ninja One, ensuring pro-active monitoring, patching, and endpoint management., • Supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs through a coordinated effort with the Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including technical management and performance oversight., • Ensure reliable and secure operations of all IT Infrastructure, including disaster recovery and annual testing., • Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and bests practices in alignment with ITIL principles., • Manage workload capacity, resources, and budgets effectively., • Promote Collaboration and knowledge sharing across IT and business teams., • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field; or equivalent experience., • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles including 5+ years in a leadership capacity., • Proven experience coordinating and technically managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs), • Hands-on expertise with:, • Microsoft 365 (M365) administration and security, • Management of network devices (Meraki network devices preferred), • SASE platform (Cato Networks SASE platform preferred), • RMM tools (Ninja One preferred), • Strong understanding of data center operations, networks, storage, computer, and client-level systems, • Proficient in both cloud and on-premises infrastructures including Microsoft Azure administration, management of virtual machines, storage, networking, security, and cost optimization across hybrid and cloud-native environments., • Experience managing both cloud and on-premises infrastructures; background in Azure preferred., • Knowledge of ITIL principles; ITIL training or certification preferred., • Demonstrated success in IT due diligence, M&A integration, and divestiture., • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment., • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to communicate appropriately to different audiences.
