By providing meaningful pre-trial supervised release and post-conviction sentencing options, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives seeks to use an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life and avoid the harmful effects of incarceration. Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is seeking a Case Manager. Reporting to the Supervising Case Manager, the Case Manager's primary focus will be working with individuals who are mandated to engage in Alternative to Incarceration (ATI), Alternative to Detention (ATD), and Early Diversion programming. The Case Manager is responsible for conducting intakes, providing comprehensive case management services including crisis intervention when needed, making and monitoring referrals to external providers, and facilitating individual and group sessions. Summary: The Assistant Press Operator assists the Press Operator and Lead Press operator in the basic setup and maintenance of the presses verifying proper paper sheet sizes and types. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. BJI is seeking a Supervising Case Manager for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to Case Management Coordinator, the Supervising Case Manager will be responsible for providing substantive and consistent clinically-informed task supervision to Case Managers and Senior Case Managers to ensure fidelity to the program model and quality service to participants. Supervising Case Managers ensure that staff are completing program-specific training; consistently applying policy, protocol, and best practices aligned with program-specific training; completing routine and accurate data entry and court reporting, and communicating effectively across SRP teams to ensure the program builds on successes and proactively addresses challenges. They will provide conflict mediation services and serve as conduits to the program’s Outreach Workers who work with program participants on a long-term basis. POSITION SUMMARY: The Domestic Violence & Trauma Services Program offers a comprehensive suite of services to survivors of domestic violence with enhanced focus on education and linkage to health & wellness through both individual and group counseling supportive services. CHASI works in collaboration with the Staten Island Family Justice Center to expand reach and capacity. Domestic violence and trauma services are co-located. Services are provided at two different locations, 26 Bay Street Site and the Staten Island Family Justice Center (FJC). The Intensive Case Manager will manage a high-risk caseload with a specific focus on working with complex, intersectional cases of domestic and gender-based violence including, but not limited to, family violence, elder abuse, human trafficking, and sexual violence. The Intensive Case Manager will navigate clients through the many complex systems called into action in service plans, such as behavioral health services, medical services, criminal justice, family court, and child protective services. Operating out of Richmond County Criminal Court and community-based offices, SIJC is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, mental health practitioners, compliance specialists, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in so doing, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. SIJC seeks Case Managers for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to Supervising Case Managers, Case Managers are the front line of service delivery and key to ensuring that the program meets its mandate. The Justice Center’s Alternatives to Incarceration programming provides judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys with alternative community sentencing options that hold individuals accountable in a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and restorative. The goal is to provide participants with individual and group services that help them to avoid future contact with the justice system and promote swift case resolutions that bolster public confidence in justice. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Case Manager will be responsible for the monitoring and case management of program participants, referring participants to voluntary social service interventions, and helping promote compliance with pre-plea and post-plea conditions. The Case Manager will stay in regular contact with participants, including facilitating in-person case management meetings. The Case Manager will also facilitate groups and assist in development of onsite services for participants. Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court and community-based offices, BJI is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, mental health practitioners, compliance specialists, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. BJI seeks a Case Manager for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP) Brownsville/East New York office. Reporting to Supervising Case Manager, Case Manager is the front line of service delivery and key to ensuring that the program meets its mandate. Individuals charged with misdemeanor offenses often struggle with underlying issues such as substance use disorder, mental illness, unemployment, and trauma. As a response to low-level charges, judges may mandate participation in a range of social services designed to assist participants with their needs, which take a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. The Queens Community Justice Center seeks a Senior Case Manager for its Focus Forward program. Focus Forward provides employment-focused services as an alternative to incarceration or as an addition to a probation mandate. Focus Forward serves young adults ages 18 to 35 with moderate to high employment needs.
