We are looking for a full time and part time, Level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioners to join our Beautiful Nursery, Apple Day Nursery situated between Southgate and Friern Barnet. This role would suit anybody that has experience as an Early Years Teacher, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Teacher, Apprentice Educator, Nursery Educator or Nursery Assistant. Collaboration with Professionals: • Work closely with parents, schools, and other professionals (e.g., therapists, SENCOs) to ensure a cohesive approach to the child’s education and development. 5. Incorporating SEND Strategies: • Implement appropriate teaching techniques such as scaffolding, multi-sensory learning, and the use of visual aids. • Use assistive technology or tools, as required, to support learning. Qualifications and Skills Essential: • Proven experience working with primary school children, particularly those with SEND and SEMH needs. • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and effective intervention strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage children and liaise with parents and professionals. • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles and challenges. • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. Desirable: • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). • Additional training in SEND/SEMH (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, trauma-informed approaches). • Experience with assistive technology or therapeutic techniques (e.g., sensory integration, play therapy).
