Business Development Manager Location: Hybrid (Teddington, TW11) after 3 months probation Job Type: Full-time Salary: £25,000–£40,000 per annum + commission 10k - 20k (depending on experience) Industry: Insurance Lead Generation OVERVIEW An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and confident Business Development Manager to support growth within the insurance lead generation sector. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships with insurance brokers, and opening doors through effective, phone-led conversations. The position is well-suited to someone who is comfortable initiating contact, navigating gatekeepers, and generating interest quickly through clear and confident communication. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities to drive revenue growth, • Proactively engage prospects by phone, introducing services and building rapport, • Navigate gatekeepers and secure conversations with key decision-makers, • Deliver tailored proposals that clearly demonstrate value to insurance brokers, • Close deals through persuasive communication and clear value propositioning, • Manage sales pipelines and performance tracking using CRM systems (HubSpot), • Background in sales or business development (B2B or similar environments), • Confidence and enthusiasm when speaking to new contacts by phone, • Ability to handle objections, generate interest, and secure decision-maker engagement, • Understanding of sales techniques and buyer psychology, • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, • Results-driven mindset with resilience and determination to succeed, • Competitive base salary with bonus and commission structure, • Hybrid role after 3 months, • Flexible hybrid working arrangement, • Early finish at 4pm every Friday, • Supportive team environment with ongoing training, • Company pension scheme, • Regular social events This role is ideal for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys phone-based business development and thrives in a target-driven environment.
