Department: Student Support Location: Manchester (On-Site) Type of Contract: Part Time (20 Hours) ROTA: 20 hours per week ranging across the below shift times: • Thursdays: 4pm – 8pm, • Fridays: 4pm - 8pm, • Saturdays: 9.30am - 3.30pm Our Vision: Changing Lives through Education The Role: Student Success Tutors (SSTs) provide direct support for assigned students/groups with student meetings, proactive holistic support, & coaching of students. You will also provide indirect support for assigned students/groups via email, phone and tracking of student academic performance with Faculty Manager as required To collaborate within the faculty and across departments to triage student problems and direct them to specialist services, enabling GBS colleagues to ensure an excellent experience for all students is delivered throughout their learning journey You will help students through their learning journey and on to enhanced life opportunities, benefiting themselves, their families, communities, and society more broadly. What the role involves: • Support students in and outside of the classroom to increase student outcomes (attendance, submission rates, MEQ completion rates and student satisfaction), • Have excellent working knowledge of GBS policies and procedures and academic regulations/extenuating circumstances for the assigned partnership. For example, knowledge of intercalation/top up opportunities Student organisational and learning support:, • Be proactive in identifying and supporting students who may be at risk. This will include, finding students before or after class, calling students, and following up with students once support/initiatives are put in place, • Support students with workload management and life organisational skills. About the Candidate:, • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related discipline., • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects independently., • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, milestone control, RAID management, phase-gate governance, and agile sprint coordination., • Strong skills in stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, requirements clarification, and change control, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels., • Technical understanding of software implementation lifecycles, warehouse and supply chain execution processes, as well as integration, testing, and release management., • Proficiency with project delivery and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence; able to interpret solution designs, process flows, and technical impacts., • Commercial acumen in budget planning, scope and change request management, SaaS delivery models, and supporting business case justification., • Willingness to travel as required for client engagements, team collaboration, or project delivery, with excellent communication and mentoring skills to support and develop junior colleagues.
