Outreach Tutor - Make a Lasting Difference to Young People's Lives\n\nLocation: Hillingdon and surrounding areas\nHours: Part-Time, Flexible\nPay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)\nStart Date: Immediate referrals available\n\nAre you passionate about supporting young people who face barriers to education?\n\nWe are working with Hillingdon Council and are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Outreach Tutors to join our growing team. Due to an increasing number of referrals, we have exciting opportunities available for individuals who are committed to helping vulnerable young people re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nAs an Outreach Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people who may be struggling to access mainstream education. Through tailored support and relationship-building, you will help pupils develop confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and work towards achieving their individual goals.\n\nWith regular referrals being received from Hillingdon Council, we are actively expanding our team and have learners ready to start immediately.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nYou will provide personalised support and educational intervention to primary and secondary-aged pupils who require alternative provision.\n\nMany of the young people you support may be out of education, awaiting specialist placements, experiencing school avoidance, or facing challenges that prevent them from accessing learning within a traditional classroom environment.\n\nSessions will take place either:\n\nIn the pupil's home\nWithin a community setting such as a library or learning hubYour responsibilities will include:\n\nDelivering tailored educational support and intervention\nBuilding positive and trusting relationships with young people\nEncouraging engagement with learning and personal development\nSupporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and independence\nIdentifying and adapting to individual learning and emotional needs\nMonitoring progress and celebrating achievements\nWorking towards re-engagement with education where appropriate\n\nWho You'll Be Supporting\n\nYou will work with young people presenting with a range of needs, including:\n\nSEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)\nSEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)\nAutism Spectrum Condition (ASC)\nADHD\nEBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)\nAnxiety and Mental Health needs\nBehavioural challenges\nOther complex learning and social needs\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nWe're keen to hear from individuals who are:\n\nExperienced in working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH\nPatient, empathetic, and resilient\nConfident in managing challenging situations and behaviours\nSkilled at building rapport and positive relationships\nPassionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education\nAble to deliver engaging and personalised support sessionsExperience within education, youth work, mentoring, social care, alternative provision, or tutoring would be highly beneficial.\n\nAvailability to deliver sessions across five days per week would be advantageous due to the volume of referrals we receive.\n\nWhat's on Offer?\n\nFlexible part-time hours to suit your availability\nCompetitive hourly pay based on experience\nConsistent referrals and ongoing opportunities\nThe opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people's lives\nImmediate starts available\nOpportunities extending into the next academic yearWhether you're an experienced Outreach Tutor, Teacher, Learning Mentor, Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or Education Professional, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nApply Today\n\nIf you're passionate about supporting young people, helping them overcome barriers, and making a lasting impact through education and mentoring, apply directly via this advert today
