Purpose of role The Content Executive is responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising written content that aligns with the overall content strategy, delivering maximum value through acquiring, engaging and converting users, while meeting commitments to sponsors, advertisers and partners. You will use audience insight, SEO best practice and page performance data to improve the effectiveness of content across visitlondon.com • Use a broad range of audience insight data and page performance data to deliver a variety of short- and long-form content which has the highest impact on user acquisition, engagement and income, in line with the content strategy., • Working closely with our SEO experts, you will optimise existing content and create new content to grow our audiences across a variety of channels, with a focus on vistlondon.com., • Lead on specific content areas of visitlondon.com - Take ownership of your content responsibilities and build your expertise and depth of knowledge in these areas, delivering new content and in-depth page updates, as delegated by the Content Managers and Content Lead., • Attend and arrange site visits to venues/experiences/events, experiencing these first-hand to gain tips and recommendations, further your product knowledge, and/or write in-depth content. These site visits will form part of the minimum expectation of two days working in the office per week., • Contribute ideas, write content and capture photography for the Visit London blog, from first-person reviews and interviews to previews, round-ups and news pieces., • Ensure best practice guidelines for eCommerce websites are followed during content delivery, including markup of affiliate links, accessibility, and commercial image rights., • Deliver content for always-on channels and internal projects, • Source and curate content from third parties (e.g. partners or PR contacts) and wider research to create content that inspires target audiences and delivers against targets such as traffic, stakeholder objectives and revenue generation., • While we prioritise written content, experience of multi-format content, including video creation and photography, would be beneficial., • Promote high-value products across all channels, adhering to guidance provided by the Commercial Manager, eCommerce Manager and/or Commercial Manager., • Work closely with the Commercial Manager to identify and deploy new products and special offers across visitlondon.com, newsletters and the Visit London App as quickly as possible., • Support the eCommerce Manager’s A/B testing program and User Acceptance Testing for new deployments, upgrades and migrations, as requested by development team colleagues., • Sub-editing content as required., • Any other reasonable tasks as allocated by your manager., • Relevant experience in a similar role, • Able to write and build accurate and engaging digital listings, articles and blog posts, • Experience of writing to a consumer audience, • Experience writing and optimising content for SEO, • Excellent data management skills and exceptional attention to detail, • Experience sourcing, curating and repurposing copy and images, • Content management system and database experience. Experience of using Sitecore (our CMS) would be beneficial, but not essential, as training will be provided., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint, • Committed to continuous learning, • Experience working in an agile marketing environment and as part of project teams, • Experience taking professional-quality photography and video creation/production is desirable, • ?
