Fleet Compliance & Transport Manager 📍 Leicester (Hybrid – approx. 1 day per week in the office) | 🕒 Full-time We are partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Fleet & Transport Manager to oversee the safe, legal, and efficient operation of a large commercial vehicle fleet. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring vehicle and driver compliance across the business, while driving continuous improvement in fleet performance, safety, and risk management. The Role As the Subject Matter Expert for fleet operations, you will lead the management of commercial vehicles, company cars, grey fleet, and driver compliance. You will work closely with operational leaders to ensure the fleet operates safely, legally, and efficiently while maintaining high compliance standards. You will also lead and mentor the Fleet Administration team, ensuring best practices across all fleet-related processes. Key Responsibilities • Provide expert guidance on the safe and legal operation of commercial vehicles, company cars, and grey fleet, • Ensure fleet and driver compliance across the organisation in line with the corporate transport management system and strategy, • Analyse and interpret fleet data to produce monthly and quarterly management reports and performance metrics, • Identify risks and develop improvement plans with business stakeholders to drive performance and compliance, • Investigate major road traffic incidents and conduct review meetings with insurers and brokers, • Manage relationships with telematics, camera system providers, and other fleet suppliers, • Monitor and manage all fleet compliance activities, identifying and addressing non-conformities, • Lead, support, and mentor the fleet administration team What We’re Looking For • Proven experience managing vehicle and driver compliance within a fleet of 500+ vehicles, • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders, • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvement, safety culture, and risk management initiatives, • Experience managing and mentoring team members, • Experience working within large, multi-site organisations in fast-paced environments, • Membership of a relevant fleet or transport professional body (e.g., ILT, AFP or similar), • Strong computer literacy including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Desirable • TMCPC qualification, • FORS Practitioner certification, • Experience embedding a strong risk prevention and safety culture Why Apply?
