Sales Consultant (Field-Based) 101lw – Scotland & North UK– £40,000-£50,000 + Uncapped Commission\n\nIdeal for Ex-Military / Service Leavers | Engineering & Technical Backgrounds, as well as ex-military professionals with 3-years+ B2B Sales experience - if you’ve worked with tools, equipment, or engineering systems in the Armed Forces, this is a unique opportunity to step into a field-based, client-facing role where your technical knowledge and credibility are highly valued.\n\nDUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.\n\nThis isn’t a typical sales role. It’s about advising engineers, building relationships, and delivering the right solutions - something many ex-military professionals already do every day.\n\nYou’ll join a growing, award-winning technical consultancy supplying specialist tooling and equipment to some of the world’s most advanced engineering organisations - across aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport, and renewable energy (also entering exciting new sectors like solar & renewables)\n\nYou’ll take ownership of a well-established territory, working with existing customers and warm leads, helping them select the right tooling solutions for their applications.\n\nFor those with no previous B2B sales experience– full training can be provided\n\nWhy This Role Works for Ex-Military Candidates\n\nYour experience with equipment, maintenance, or engineering systems directly translates\n\nYou’ll be trusted to manage your own area - no micromanagement\n\nStrong emphasis on integrity, accountability, and doing things properly\n\nOpportunity to move from hands-on roles into a commercial, higher-earning career path\n\nWork with industries aligned to your background (defence, aerospace, engineering)\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nManaging and growing a portfolio of existing accounts (majority warm relationships)\n\nVisiting customer sites to understand requirements and recommend solutions\n\nAdvising on tooling based on application, performance, and value\n\nBuilding long-term relationships with engineers, buyers, and technical teams\n\nDeveloping new business opportunities within your region\n\nWorking closely with an internal sales team for quoting and support\n\nBackgrounds that fit well:\n\nREME, Royal Engineers, RAF or Navy engineering trades\n\nEquipment maintenance, tooling, or mechanical/electrical roles\n\nDefence, aerospace, or high-compliance environments\n\nThis is a field-based role covering Scotland & North England. 3-4 days per week visiting customers. Home based admin with strong internal support.
