Where you fit in: As our Domestic Connections Manager you will lead the water and wastewater Domestic Connections teams in transforming how we deliver an exceptional service to a diverse customer base, from individual homeowners to small-scale developers. You will lead strategic improvements across customer experience, operational efficiency, productivity, health & safety, and environmental performance, delivering strong commercial outcomes and setting new standards for service excellence. Working in partnership with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will build and lead a consistent, high-performing operational team focused on achieving outstanding results. This collaboration will be central to your success. You will work across all levels within Yorkshire Water whilst also engaging with key external stakeholders (such as OfWat, Water UK, Local Authorities etc.), to bring the Developer Services Strategy and Transformation Plan to life. As an inspiring leader, you will mentor and support your team, cultivating a culture rooted in empathy, clarity, and operational excellence. Together, you will embed a future ready operating model where every customer interaction, from initial enquiry to final billing, is transparently designed, digitally enabled, and continuously optimised. What skills & qualifications are we looking for? Educated to degree level/or substantial experience in senior management and leadership roles within complex customer centric environments. In-depth knowledge of the water industry, with a strong preference for experience in Developer Services or regulated customer service environments. Hands-on experience leading customer experience transformation, digital service enhancements, or process redesign within a regulated utility or similar sector. Strong leadership credentials with a proven track record in managing and developing large, diverse teams. Capable of setting strategic direction, managing performance, and addressing underperformance effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire high performance at all levels. Resourceful and resilient, with a relentless focus on delivering against performance excellence targets. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Skilled in influencing stakeholders and shaping business decisions across multiple levels of the organisation. Solid understanding of cost structures and financial contributions, with the ability to apply this knowledge to improve operational efficiency. Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly adopt and leverage new technologies.
