Empower change. Elevate standards. Make an impact We're looking for a proactive and driven Senior Auditor to join Intrum UK's Internal Audit team. In this role, you'll lead and deliver impactful audit engagements from planning through to reporting, helping us strengthen governance and risk management across the business. You'll evaluate internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and work closely with managers and teams to embed best practices. Your insights will contribute to operational efficiency and process enhancements, giving you broad exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making. This role can be based at any of our UK offices, with travel to meet internal stakeholders as required and the flexibility to work from home. What you'll do: Lead and support internal audit engagements from planning to reporting. Evaluate internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks. Provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders. Monitor audit actions and support remediation efforts. Collaborate across multiple first and second line of defence functions. Stay up to date with FCA, UK GDPR, ISO standards and other regulatory changes. Champion a culture of integrity and continuous improvement. Devoted to the FCA principle of Consumer Duty; by ensuring we are driving good customer outcomes across all aspects of services that have potential to impact on our customers. What you bring: Experience in internal audit, risk, or compliance within financial services or a regulated environment. Able to work independently on audit engagements, with minimal supervision whilst knowing when to escalate issues. Strong report writing skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely to varied audiences. Understand UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, UK GDPR), with the ability to interpret these and apply them practically. Familiar with audit software and data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI). Professional audit or accounting qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA, CMIIA or CIA or are working towards one. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in debt collection, credit management, or consumer finance would be advantageous.
