Overview of the position: Were hiring an experienced Smart Systems Manager to lead the delivery, integration, and optimisation of smart technologies across multiple client properties. You will act as the central point of contact for all things smartfrom IoT sensors and access control to occupancy analytics and BMS integration. A good understanding of BMS/Building systems is critical along with CNS Systems & Typologies. . Youll run monthly client engagement meetings, deliver against defined roadmaps, and ensure our smart systems are deployed, performing, and generating actionable insights. This is a strategic delivery role for someone who understands how technology intersects with property operations and who can bridge the gap between hardware, software, and business impact and understanding how stakeholders interact with technology on a human level. Key Responsibilities Strategic Ownership Own and manage 5+ client smart engagements, each with a clearly defined roadmap, goals, and monthly progress meetings. Understand each client's budget and business priorities, delivering value-driven solutions that scale. System Integration & Deployment Lead the deployment of smart technologies across client sitese.g., SPOG, access control, Genetec, sensors, Auvik, BMS, visitor management, and IoT platforms. Deploy and configure our proprietary software stack, enabling data extraction and real-time visualisation of property performance. Data & Monitoring Use Power BI or similar platforms to build live dashboards, report on smart system metrics, and identify trends or anomalies. Translate building data into actionable business insights for clients and internal stakeholders. Use technology to deliver smart automation functionality that improved client operations. Process & Documentation Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and deployment guides. Establish secure frameworks for vendor onboarding, access control, system maintenance, and future scalability. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Liaise with landlords, FMs, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations. Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring integrations are properly scoped, secured, and delivered on time. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years' experience in smart systems, building technologies, or IT/OT integrationideally within property management, commercial real estate, or smart building consulting. Proven success managing multi-system integrations and smart deployments across large or multi tenant buildings. Strong technical understanding of: ? IoT protocols: MQTT, BACnet, Modbus, SNMP Network & infrastructure: VLANs, PoE, firewalls, switches Platforms: Genetec, Cisco, Azure, Power BI, BMS Systems & Lighting controls. APIs & middleware: system interoperability and data aggregation Strong communicatorable to lead client meetings, explain complex tech simply, and drive accountability across vendors and internal teams, proven experience of working with stakeholders of different technical understandings. Deep appreciation for data-driven buildings, tenant experience, energy efficiency, and future-proof tech. Hands-on approach with a desire to shape and own a fast-growing function inside a scaling business. Good understanding of GDPR & policies is essential. What Success Looks Like in 12 Months Youre leading 5+ active Smart client engagements, each with a roadmap, budget alignment, and monthly meetings. You've become the go-to person internally for all smart building topics and tech integrations. Our new software stack is deployed at key sites and clients are actively using it to improve how they run their buildings. Youve delivered clear SOPs and playbooks for future deployments. Monthly dashboards are live, and smart system performance is being tracked, reported, and continuously improved. A secure vendor access model is in place across all smart-enabled sites. Client location: International and National customer base but the majority are based in and around London. Day to day Communication: Clients, Service Team, IT Security Team, Networks Team, Electronic Security Team and the PMO Team. Travel From a day-to-day perspective, this role will require you to commute only to/from our head office or our London office where the role will be situated. Additionally, you may be required to travel as and when necessary to: - Our London office when required (for training or if the Head Office becomes unavailable) - Other regional offices (both existing and new for reasons similar to the above) - To clients across the Southeast (and in some cases nationally) and when deemed as a requirement of the role Company Benefits: 28 Days annual leave plus 1 day, 2 weeks either side of your Birthday.
