Logistics Coordinator (Nights) Location: Redditch Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (depending on experience, inclusive of shift allowance) Hours: 44 hours per week – Tuesday to Friday + weekend working Shift: 19:00 – 07:00 (Night Shift) Job Type: Permanent Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays (option to purchase up to 5 additional days) About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator (Nights) to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation within a well-established organisation. This role sits within a hybrid function between customer service and transport quoting, requiring strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. You will be responsible for arranging and managing urgent transport solutions across the UK and Europe, ensuring goods are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with customer expectations. This is a fully office-based night shift role and is not suitable for hybrid or remote working. Key Responsibilities • Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email, accurately inputting data onto internal systems, • Book, track, and coordinate shipments across UK and European transport networks, • Provide competitive quotations for road, airfreight, and hand-carry solutions, • Deliver high levels of customer service with regular updates on shipment progress, • Source and liaise with transport suppliers to secure appropriate solutions, • Manage urgent and time-critical situations, including line stoppages, • Ensure correct documentation is obtained, including PODs, purchase orders, and related references, • Close out job files accurately and ensure all systems are updated correctly, • Review routing and supplier options to improve cost efficiency and profitability, • Maintain clear communication with warehouse and operational teams, • Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives, • Ensure all administrative and system housekeeping tasks are completed accurately and on time, • Escalate issues where appropriate to ensure timely resolution About You The successful candidate will have: • Previous experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transport planning, or a similar environment, • Strong understanding of European transport planning (essential), • Strong IT skills including MS Office, spreadsheets, and internal systems, • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment Desirable: • CPC qualification (not essential) What’s on Offer • Salary up to £33,000 (depending on experience, inclusive of shift allowance), • Permanent night shift position in a stable organisation, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Option to purchase additional annual leave, • Career development opportunities within transport operations
