Requirements: - Previous experience in the specialty coffee industry or a similar managerial role. - Proficiency in espresso extraction, including grind adjustment, dosing, and tamping techniques. - Skill in creating and pouring latte art designs, showcasing attention to detail and craftsmanship. - Proven leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and developing a team. - Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under the pressure. - Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. - A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to teamwork. - Food handling certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations is a plus.

*Please note, this role requires 2+ years in specialty coffee* About Lane Eight Coffee: We offer high-end coffee in a tranquil space - our aim is to give people a moment of calm away from busy life in the city We’re looking for a friendly, passionate and experienced coffee professional to join our small team at our Clapham Common espresso bar as Head Barista. The Role: - You will take ownership of our coffee offering at L8, from processes behind the bar, to recipes, to choosing guest filter coffees. - We currently serve a simple espresso menu alongside a rotating batch brew (recent guest features include Cloud Picker, Obadiah and April). - Our espresso is a seasonal exclusive coffee roasted by Red Bank Coffee in the Lake District. - 37.5hrs per week - Weekends & Weekdays (we require availability most weekends). - Starting annual salary of £32k - We use a custom LM KB90 ABR and Mahlkonig E80 so experience with these is preferable but not essential! - We are open 7 days a week and our opening hours are 7am-3pm Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm Sat & Sun.
