Electrical MEP Manager Hospital Project Plymouth We are seeking an experienced Electrical MEP Manager to take ownership of the electrical delivery on a major hospital refurbishment and fit-out project in Plymouth. This is a critical leadership role, ensuring seamless coordination, integration, and execution of complex building services within a live healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for managing electrical works within the wider MEP scope from pre-construction through to commissioning and client handover. Review and coordinate electrical design, contractor design portion (CDP) submissions, and resolve technical queries. Lead and manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring safe working practices, programme adherence, and quality standards are met. Chair and contribute to MEP coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives, resolving clashes and technical issues. Oversee quality assurance and compliance for all electrical systems in line with NHS and healthcare standards. Develop and implement commissioning strategies, witness testing, and ensure production of comprehensive O&M manuals. Support post-handover activities including seasonal commissioning, client training, and defect resolution. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team on electrical MEP matters. Requirements Proven experience managing electrical (or full MEP) works on hospital or healthcare projects , ideally in live or occupied environments. Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and integration with mechanical and specialist services. Skilled at managing the interface between design, procurement, commercial, and site operations. Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulations, commissioning procedures, compliance, RAMS, and quality close-out processes. Proficient in project planning software (MS Project / Asta) and experienced with technical documentation and commissioning records. Degree or trade-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
