Payroll Senior Officer Healthcare Bicester, Oxfordshire Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established healthcare organisation in Oxfordshire to recruit a Payroll Senior Officer to join their HR team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll and pensions service, while supporting process improvements and providing expert advice to colleagues across the organisation. The Payroll Senior Officer Role As Payroll Senior Officer, you will take the lead on payroll delivery and provide specialist expertise across payroll operations, compliance and system development. Planning, managing and processing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time Handling complex payroll calculations and ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and statutory requirements Maintaining payroll records, including starter/leaver documentation and pension data, ensuring strong data governance and confidentiality Monitoring compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, statutory payments and pensions Identifying potential risks or issues and recommending corrective actions where required Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees Supporting training, knowledge sharing and induction activities within the team Contributing to payroll system improvements and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy Producing and analysing payroll data and reports to support organisational decision-making and compliance The Payroll Senior Officer Candidate We’re looking for a payroll professional who combines technical expertise with strong organisational and communication skills.
