Why we need this role? We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Carrier Relations Manager with a strong background in the telecommunications sector and a focus on colocation partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with colocation and data center providers to ensure optimal network infrastructure availability, cost efficiency, and operational performance. You will play a key role in supporting our network expansion, and long-term infrastructure planning by managing & ordering space and power within 3rd party colocation facilities and developing critical vendor relationships. What you will do: Reporting to the Senior Manager of Colocation Sourcing, this role involves managing a broad portfolio of Colocation providers within the EMEA region. The role is responsible for identifying, qualifying and on-boarding new suppliers for Space & Power as well as developing, negotiating, and obtaining approvals for Master Service Agreements and Framework Agreements. They work in close collaboration with internal operational teams to obtain quotations and negotiate individual orders. Managing vendor relationships as well as costs during the lifecycle of acquisitions and supporting the business with escalations and dispute resolutions. Deliver material in year cost savings against their assigned base. Identify cost optimisation opportunities and deliver them in close conjunction with Engineering and Operations teams. Define the 3-5-year procurement strategy for your area of responsibility and identify and deliver cost-reduction projects. Help supervise, act as primary mentor and trainer of more junior level CRM roles. You will be also responsible for: Select and on-board vendors Identify potential vendors and manage the on-boarding of new vendors for co-location space and power in support of infrastructure projects. Develop Master Service Agreement, Contracts and Purchase Order terms and conditions Develop, negotiate and arrange necessary inputs and approvals for Master Service Agreements, Contracts or Purchase Order terms and conditions, as appropriate in support of co-location space and power acquisitions. Develop and negotiate complex solutions Work with Sales, Strategy and CRM to develop bespoke infrastructure solutions, obtain sourcing quotations from vendors for co-location space and power acquisitions. Negotiating costs and placing contracts or purchase orders Negotiating costs and arranging approvals and triggering the placement of orders for space and power acquisitions, Project managing the bidding process for network expansion projects. Identifying, project managing, and delivering cost saving opportunities. Contract and Commercial Contract Management for Co-location, Power and Cross Connects. Manage complex contract renewals and contract consolidation initiatives estate novations and maintain inventory accuracy Cost management during lifecycle of acquisitions Managing costs during the life cycle of co-location space and power and cross connects through negotiating revised costs at breakpoints in contracts or as contracts terms expire. Collaborate cross functionally to identify further cost optimisation opportunities. Effective management of assigned contract estate and full understanding of ongoing cost liabilities Escalations - Deal with thematic escalations for service delivery, fault management and payments. Invoice & Inventory Validation Supporting the Accounts Payable, Finance and operations functions with invoice and inventory validation from vendors off co-location space and power acquisitions. Furthermore, own term and cost management. Vendor Management - Build and maintain strong relationships at exec level with our key suppliers of infrastructure services. Hold regular reviews and keep vendors performance accountable to contractual SLAs Market Development Intelligence Liaise with carrier Relations Managers and Pricing Analysts to maintain a broad knowledge of the market, suppliers, regulatory, technology and pricing trends. What we're looking for? Qualification/s: A Bachelor's Degree in an IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Critical Expertise and Experience: Proven experience in telecoms with knowledge of colocation Experience in managing relationships with suppliers, vendors & customers. Experience large data sets to identify, develop and create complex Business Case models Commercial contract negotiation experience Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographies Skills: Extensive knowledge of suppliers within the EMEA region for colocation Demonstrable track record in developing contract and commercial arrangements with suppliers, negotiating contracts and costs, and defining multiyear procurement strategies Professional and self-motivated; ability to work productively and effectively with little guidance Detail oriented, ability to analyse large data sets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Multilingual candidates preferred Strong Strategic and Commercial background Understands P/L management with proven ability to deploy and manage initiatives to optimize costs and enhance margins. Project Management skills to engage Stakeholders and drive and support Projects and processes for efficiency. Strong Data Analysis skills enabling and creating detailed reporting and strategic direction allowing the business to make informed decisions. Attention to detail and high levels of data accuracy Goal oriented to get things done, accelerate change focusing on the customer first and operational excellence Strong knowledge of Outlook, MS Excel, Word & TEAMs Ability to travel 0%-20% and attend Supplier Meetings & Conferences I n addition, you are: A robust, dynamic self-starter with imagination and vision Willing to be flexible to get the work done and able to prioritise and plan time effectively, Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, including the ability to deliver difficult messages in a positive way, Have strong interpersonal skills and able to build a positive team culture in a global team and cross-cultural environment as well as a customer focused culture, Have commercial acumen Results-focused, efficient, and pragmatic Identify areas where teams activities duplicate or conflict with other teams; working to resolve conflicts or remove duplication in a way that creates maximum benefit for the business.
