Environmental & Planning Solicitor (5+ PQE) Location: Central London or Cambridge (Flexible Hybrid Working, Will consider 4 Days a week) Salary: £60-100k DOE An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental & Planning Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join a respected specialist law practice handling nationally significant environmental and planning matters. This role is ideal for a solicitor who wants to combine meaningful, high-quality work with excellent work-life balance in a supportive and collaborative team environment. The Opportunity You will work on complex and high-profile matters in environmental, planning, and public law. The role offers real autonomy, the ability to contribute to case strategy, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact through claimant-side litigation. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and managing judicial review and statutory challenges, • Advising on complex planning and environmental decisions, • Conducting planning inquiries and local plan work, • Supporting and developing nuisance claims (including noise, odour, and related matters), • Building strong client relationships and contributing to overall case strategy About You • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE, • Strong experience in judicial review and/or planning law, • Excellent drafting, analytical, and strategic litigation skills, • Comfortable managing matters independently and supervising junior colleagues when required, • Passionate about high-quality claimant-side work and cases that have real public impact Experience in property or nuisance matters is advantageous but not essential.
