About The Role As an Events Account Director, you will work cross-functionally with internal partners on marketing events to launch targeted experiential marketing campaigns for our clients. We are seeking someone to work seamlessly with clients and our internal creative teams to produce the best work possible, while managing a team, resources, and meeting project deadlines. Responsibilities • Support the Senior Events Director to drive event strategy and development of innovative events across customer segments and business verticals, • Growth and development of new business, identify opportunities for new projects that add value as we continue to expand in EMEA, • End-to-end financial management of all owned projects + clients, feeding into wider business reporting and forecasting, • New event type concepting, based on the client’s priority growth areas and customers’ needs, • Crafting an overall event experience for customers based on event type, • Tactical plan development to test, pilot, and measure the performance of the event, • Support in rollout, standardization, and scaling of new event types across multiple markets through detailed event playbooks, event process standardization, and strong cross-collaboration between multiple teams, • Event support for all event types, delivering end-to-end oversight for successful event execution. We focus predominantly on B2B product marketing events, in the following formats:, • Consistent communication to senior management with updates, status reports, and progress of pilot events against benchmarks and goals, • Relationship management with clients and actively works to build a broader program for the team, • Support the collection of appropriate event-related data to assist in post-event evaluations and reporting, • Active participation with the extended team to share knowledge and experience, • 8+ years of increasing responsibility executing and managing event programs, • 5+ years of experience managing and developing direct reports, • Strategic mindset, with experience developing event programs and piloting new concepts, • Ability to take proven event tactics and execute within new business verticals at scale, • Self-motivated team player who has a proclivity for action, • Knows the industry, with strong connections in their professional network, • Highly responsive, attentive, and quick to react to new and urgent requests, • Interpersonal skills, a people-person who can quickly form and maintain friendly relationships, • Able to remain calm in high-pressure situations, • Possess a positive, “can-do” attitude, • Exhibit strong time management skills with the ability to re-prioritize tasks on-the-fly to meet unexpected changes in deadlines and deliver on last-minute requests, • Exceptional project management skills, with strong attention to detail and organization, • Skilled and experienced in project finances - with the ability to scope, manage, and reconcile multiple project finances and feed into wider forecasting, • Technical proficiency, particularly in Google G Suite (docs, slides, sheets), • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Editorial, copywriting, and/or basic graphic design skills are a plus
