Job Title: Solar PV O&M Electrician 📍 Location: [Insert location] 💼 Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 DOE + Bonus + Overtime 🕒 Full-Time | Permanent Matchtech's is currently partnering with a very reputable leading EPC across the construction and operation of Solar PV projects. We are currently looking for a dedicated Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Electrician, maintaining and servicing utility-scale ground mount solar PV systems across the West Midlands. Key Responsibilities • Carry out routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems, • Follow the Preventative Maintenance schedule in line with the annual PPM plan, • Perform Corrective Maintenance tasks as they arise, • Complete daily site visit reports and activity logs using our online reporting system, • Conduct site-specific risk assessments and report all near misses to the Manager, • Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors on-site, ensuring full H&S compliance, • Ensure accurate and detailed records of electrical testing for audit purposes, • Troubleshoot and fault-find both AC and DC systems, • Report any site issues promptly to the Manager, • Maintain compliance with all fire, health & safety regulations and company policies, • Attend mandatory safety training and respond to changing safety requirements, • Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and participation in weekend rota (with additional pay) Required Skills & Qualifications • Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations, • 18th Edition (C&G 2382-18), • Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52 or equivalent), • HV Authorised Person qualification, • 3+ years' experience in ground mount Solar PV O&M, • Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, incl. distribution boards and combiner boxes, • Familiarity with maintenance schedules and procedures, • Comfortable with fault finding and use of industry testing equipment (e.g. multimeters, IR testers), • Knowledge of SCADA, CCTV systems, and high-voltage (up to 33kV) operations, • Ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): • Working at Height / Harness Training, • First Aid & Fire Marshal certified, • IOSH Health & Safety qualification, • Manufacturer training on central inverters What We Offer • Competitive salary + Bonus structure, • Additional weekend rota payments (Optional), • Full private health cover, • 4x life assurance, • Company pension with up to 6% employer contributions, • 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, • Career development & training (up to Level 4), • Fully equipped company vehicle, • Mobile phone and PC, • All PPE provided Apply Today If you're ready to take the next step in your solar O&M career and join a forward-thinking renewable energy company, we'd love to hear from you. 📧 Send your CV to
