For this role, the successful candidate will have the option to work flexibly, including compressed hours or term-time only working, providing an excellent work-life balance that accommodates other commitments outside of work.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be a caring, compassionate and committed experienced clinician who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking throughout the clinical decision-making process. They will communicate and work collaboratively with the PCN team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing clinical leadership as required.We are seeking a dedicated individual to be a key member working across Enhanced Access Service and the South Sefton Access Service. The initial focus of this role will be managing acute, on-the-day illness for patients aged 2 years and above.About usSouth Sefton Primary Care Network is a large PCN covering the four localities of South Sefton, with a population of just over 130,000 patients.PCNs are groups of GP practices working with a wide range of partners across the healthcare system to improve the health of their population.
