Project Manager- Oxfordshire The Role The Project Manager role is to deliver multiple ongoing projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The role also involves working closely with the Estimating Department, engineers, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed safely, whilst ensuring customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded. Key Responsibilities General Management Produce financial forecasts, monitor and control project costs and cost reporting, and produce monthly reports to the Contracts Manager on project performance, efficient team building and labour organisation Deliver projects from the design phase to completion including all handover documentation Review progress, budget resources and planning Review work packages and ensure the scope of work is clearly defined and understood Chair weekly site meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants Develop and maintain construction programmes with staff Co-ordinate and manage site investigations during the ongoing construction process Develop engineering solutions so that a buildable cost-effective construction solution is delivered that fulfils the client's requirements Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, risk assessments, method statements, site waste management plans, and procurement of plant and materials are in line with company procedures Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed Maintain commercial tension to drive out costs and challenge the status quo Prepare comprehensive estimates for additional work outside target costs Assist with estimating new tenders Chase potential new clients Health, safety and environmental By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in the promotion of HS&E procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations Ensure all HSE-related documents are kept up to date Produce monthly reports for the HSE team Allocate HSE responsibilities and duties for site personnel, check understanding and provide training as necessary Ensure that all subcontractors take appropriate steps to follow procedures and processes Ensure that site waste management plans and site-specific environmental risk assessments are produced and maintained Liaise with third parties to ensure compliance with HSG47, HAUC, NRSWA and Chapter 8 and other required regulatory standards Provide training and briefings to the team, to lead cascade briefings, TBTs, 3 Pillar Forums and general briefings Quality Be responsible for managing and producing ITPs and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties Ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained Close out any technical queries Ensure as-builts and O&M manuals are submitted to the client on completion About you Essential Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting. Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent CSCS manager's card SMSTS NEBOSH Construction Certificate Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms Excellent communication, people, and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance Desirable CEng MICE Knowledge of the JCT form of contract TPBN1_UKTJ

Waste Operative The Dual Site Green Waste Operative is responsible for operating a range of mobile and static plant machinery across sites. The role supports the safe and efficient receipt, processing, composting, and distribution of green waste in line with PAS100/PAS110 standards, ISO accreditation, environmental permits, and health & safety requirements. The post holder will work across multiple sites as directed by the Green Waste Manager, ensuring high standards of operational performance, site compliance, equipment care, and environmental responsibility. Waste Operative Key Responsibilities: Receive, weigh, unload, sort, and process incoming green waste in accordance with PAS100 standards Operate and maintain mobile and static plant machinery in line with legislation, site procedures, and manufacturer guidance Complete daily operational records and checks using the MMC app Ensure compliance with site permits, ISO accreditation, and the Integrated Management System (IMS) Carry out daily safety inspections, routine maintenance, and basic mechanical upkeep of plant and equipment Maintain high standards of site tidiness, cleanliness, security, and legal compliance Support the Green Waste Manager in achieving production targets and site budget objectives Ensure plant, equipment, and working areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times Take ownership of health, safety, and environmental standards to provide a safe working environment for all Contribute to compliance with Environmental Permits, ABPR, PAS110, and other regulatory requirements Provide operational support across other Severn Trent Green Power contracts as required Waste Operative Skills, Knowledge & Experience Waste Operative Essential: Loading Shovel certificate with a minimum of one years practical experience in a similar operational environment Competent in operating spreading machinery Competent in operating tractor and trailer Strong understanding of safe working practices Knowledge of ISO accreditation and environmental permit compliance Basic mechanical maintenance aptitude for plant and machinery Full UK driving licence (Clean) For more information, please contact New Recruits on 01865 987 678.
