Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join one of its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams. Shift Engineer 40 hours per week - Double or Triple Shift or Permanent Nights (plus overtime) Location: Nr Eastbourne, Sussex Salary: Dependent on Experience The positions responsibilities are: • Reactive Maintenance on automated production, printing, packaging or finishing machinery, • Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines, • Mechanical fault finding, • Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems), • Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems, • Small installation projects, • Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency, • To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores, • Support the Operations team in achieving targets, • Complying to the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures, • Contributing to cost effective technical solutions, • Deliver to the operational expectations, • Be part of a weekend call-out rota To be successful, we would like you to have: • A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent), • Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Multiskilled or Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment., • Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical., • Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters, • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills, • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams, • Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes., • Ideally experience working with highly skilled Operators or Technicians., • Have good communication, organisational and team work skills., • Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
