This business is responsible for some of the most recognisable engineering solution in the country with a strong project pipeline. Working with clients in Stadia and Arenas, Nuclear, MOD and Sports, their work is varied and extensive. This is a well-rounded, customer facing position. Working with key stakeholder both internally and externally, you will be the go-to engineer for quality and be responsible to drive success within this project. It is important to note that the project in question is in Scotland, so the successful candidate must be comfortable traveling and staying overnight on a semi-regular basis. We are looking for an experienced Substation/Transmission engineer, Senior wind turbine technician (with electrical and fault-finding experience) or other related engineer who is familiar with fault finding, electrical systems (high and low voltage) and ideally experience working offshore. KEY TASKS: Principle duties, accountabilities and responsibilities of the Asset Engineer will include: • Management of health, safety, environmental and contractor management, including undertaking audits of the O&M service provider and providing reports to senior management., • Managing and ensuring compliance with business objectives., • Management of outsourced Operations and Maintenance (“O&M”) providers, including where necessary procuring additional services and managing the associated contract., • Identification and mitigation of operational risks., • Ensure work is undertaken in accordance the Asset Management Strategy, identifying trends and providing improvement suggestions where appropriate., • Incident management and review, providing recommendations to senior management for all operational incidents / asset failures., • Reporting and/or assisting in the reporting to lenders, lenders technical advisor insurers, and regulatory authorities etc.; and, • Stakeholder management and representing DTUK with external bodies.
