The role is due to begin in Easter and will potentially be permanent for the right candidate.\nThe school is looking for someone who has experience working with individuals and small groups of children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Due to the students having SEMH (and additional challenging behaviour), this role would suit someone who is able to build a strong rapport with young people and children. You must be resilient, calm and able to de-escalate a potentially volatile situation ensuring all pupils and members of staff are safe and able to learn and develop their skills. Proposals Engineer\n\nLeicester\n\n£30,000 – 40,000 + Benefits \n\nThe Company\n\nOur client design and manufactures highly bespoke fabricated mechanical systems for a wide range of sectors including general industrial manufacturing as well as the metals and chemicals manufacturing sectors.\n\nThe business has been trading for over 70 years and has a great reputation in their industry known for the quality of their products and the service they provide for their customers.\n\nThe business carries out a wide range of fabrication on their shop floor including welding, press brake work and CNC Plasma Processing allow them to make their products bespoke for their customers tailoring them to the exact solutions the customer needs.\n\nThe business has new leadership in place, and the new senior team have ambitious plans to grow the business and update systems across the business to support this future growth. As part of this growth the business are looking to recruit for a Proposals Engineer with immediate effect.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe company manufacture a wide range of bespoke products including large filter systems, industrial ducting, fans and spray booths. The role of Proposals Engineer will work in conjunction with the Technical Sales Engineer.\n\nThe Technical Sales Engineer will carry out business development activities identifying requests for quotes, the Proposals Engineer will then be responsible for dealing with the quotation and proposals process.\n\nThis process will typically include;\n\nAfter the Sales Engineer carries out a site visit to understand and document the technical requirements of the design, the Proposals Engineer will flesh out the solution required in more detail and supply costing and quotations to the customer\nSizing equipment needed for project including filter, fans and motors.\nEstablishing proposed costing for the equipment.\nWorking out the ducting runs required for the system and establishing the proposed costs for ducting.\nPotentially handling multiple proposals on a daily basis, the business can receive multiple RFQs on any given day and they aim to deliver a proposal to customers within three days of RFQ.\nYou will be producing proposals for projects that can range from 5K up to 500K\nYou will also have responsibility for putting together proposals for the COSHH tests the business provides.\n\nThe Candidate\n\nTo be successful in your application for this Proposals Engineer role you will need:\n\nA relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification\nExperience in either a design engineering or proposals relate role in an engineering environment\nExperience providing and calculating costings\nA strong grounding in excel\nTo be eager to learn and develop\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nThe Benefits\n\nFor this Proposals Engineer role, the following benefits are on offer:\n\n£30,000 – 40,000\nThe opportunity to learn about the business directly from the MD\nFuture potential development into more senior roles in the business\nATA Recruitment are working with this customer on an exclusive basis. As a Service Engineer you will carry out the routine maintenance of Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Portable Extinguishers, Disabled refuge and call/toilet systems. This role will include but not limited to the items below: -Provide first line support for fault finding and rectification. -Complete small works installations. -Completion of the relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with SSAIB requirements. -Raise any concerns as soon as possible so they can be dealt with prior to the job taking place. -Carry out daily checks as a minimum to ensure correct kit is in place for the job. -Servicing and maintaining various systems, to include small works installations and fault finding. -Demonstrate systems for clients, and explain details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms. -Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance of multi disciplined systems to include portable extinguishers. -Commission/ Handover of systems. -Be part of an On Call Rota for OOH callouts and telephone support. -Carry out small works installations of multi disciplined systems to a high standard of workmanship. -Understanding the clients needs and fulfil all jobs required. -Ensure the health, safety and welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with Company policy. To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information. Required Skills: - Proven background and experience of Electrical and Mechanical installations within the Fire and Security sector, including Fire Extinguishers. - Network/IP based product experience is beneficial. - Good communication skills are required as the majority of the role will involve being in a customer facing environment. - The ability to work alone and effectively organise your time as well as being a good team player. - A good understanding of the Standards which relate to our Industry and the systems we install. - A good understanding of Health and Safety is essential. - Have a flexible attitude to working hours. - A full driving license and a willingness to travel to locations across the country. - Excellent timekeeping and time management skills. - Willingness to go the extra mile. - Self motivated and a team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity and proactiveness.
