FT Recruitment are currently supporting our client to recruit for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their ever-growing team. Our client is looking for a well-rounded and highly knowledgeable candidate to bring experience within the Oil and Gas industry to their organisation. In this role you will be responsible for executing the companys sales strategy by developing and maintaining a robust pipeline through proactive relationship management with both existing and prospective clients. Key responsibilities of this role: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth targets Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across target markets (shipping, offshore oil & gas etc) Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders Identify customer specific sales opportunities whilst identifying market trends and providing Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making Collaborate with internal teamsincluding engineering, operations, and financeto create bespoke proposals and solutions for clients Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums to enhance visibility and generate leads Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business and ensure client satisfaction ? Key requirements to be successful in this role: Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, within the Oil & Gas or Energy industry(essential). Marine equipment knowledge is highly desirable for this role Strong understanding of the energy market landscape, including policy, technology, and sustainability trends Proficiency in CRM and ERP tools to support with every stage of the sale life cycle Demonstrated success in developing and closing high-value deals Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Strong networking skills and the ability to build long last relationships Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and act on emerging opportunities Strong project management and organisational abilities The ability to travel as your 50% of your time will require UK travel If you are an experienced BDM with a passion for success and you are looking for your next challenge, this could be the perfect role for you.
