We’re specifically looking for someone who understands how things are made on the shop floor — from machining and processing timber through to final assembly — and can confidently manage projects across the full lifecycle. You’ll work closely with clients while also being hands-on with internal teams, ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and delivered to the highest standards. If you enjoy bridging the gap between design, production, and real-world manufacturing, this role offers exactly that. The Company An independent, award-winning manufacturer specialising in bespoke products, with a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship. The business is experiencing sustained growth and continues to invest heavily in both its people and production capabilities. The Role • Manage full lifecycle projects within a timber / wood manufacturing environment, • Act as the key point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to installation, • Translate client requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions, • Work closely with the shop floor, understanding machining processes and production constraints, • Oversee design, production, and delivery stages, • Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification, • Visit client sites as required The Candidate To be successful in this role, you will have: • Proven experience managing projects within timber / wood manufacturing, • A strong understanding of shop floor processes, machining, and production methods, • Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion, • The ability to communicate effectively with both clients and production teams, • A practical, hands-on mindset with a focus on manufacturability, • A mechanical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) or equivalent experience, • Experience with design software such as Autodesk Inventor (advantageous), • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, • The right to work in the UK (please note: sponsorship is not available) Why Apply? This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturer where you’ll have real ownership and influence over projects. You won’t just manage timelines — you’ll play a key role in ensuring products are designed and built the right way, with a strong connection to the shop floor. If you're looking for a role where your timber manufacturing knowledge and project management skills will be fully utilised, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now
