Beauty Stock Analyst | Greater Manchester | Scaling Brand | £30,000 - £35,000\n\nA highly ambitious, fast-growing beauty brand in the heart of Greater Manchester is scaling rapidly, with a strong focus on optimising stock, performance, and profitability.\n\nWith a turnover of £160m+, this business has built serious momentum and now they're looking for a commercially minded MAA, Assistant Merchandiser or Data Analyst to play a pivotal role as the link between stock, merchandising, and finance.\n\nIf you're in merchandising and feel ready to step away from the "same old" cycle, this is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical skillset in a more dynamic, insight-led environment while opening longer-term pathways into commercial focused careers.\n\nThe Opportunity:\n\nThis is a highly collaborative, commercially impactful role where you'll work closely with merchandising, trading, logistics, and finance teams to drive smarter decisions across the business.\n\nYou'll take ownership of stock insight across eCommerce, retail stores, and wholesale partnerships ensuring the business is trading as efficiently and profitably as possible.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nBuild, maintain and enhance Excel models used across finance, merchandising and operations\nAnalyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, gaps, and commercial opportunities within the stock file\nTake ownership of total business stock, highlighting where the business is under or overstocked and flagging this to the relevant teams across operations, merchandising, finance and product \nSupport and develop reporting frameworks into and out of Power BI\nProduce regular reporting to support operational and financial performance\nIdentify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities through detailed analysis\nClean, validate and structure data to ensure accuracy and usability\nUse advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, data manipulation) to interrogate data\nTranslate raw data into clear, actionable insightsAlongside this, you'll develop a deep understanding of:\n\nProduct splits, category mix, and sub-categories\nCore trading KPIs including cover, commitment, margin, uplift, cash performance, and rate of sale\nDaily, weekly, and monthly performance tracking to drive real-time decision-making\n\nAbout You:\n\nStrong Excel skills are essential \nExperience in a commercial data environment (Fashion, Beauty, FMCG)\nBackground in merchandising (MAA / Assistant Merchandiser) or data analysis\nConfident working with large datasets and drawing meaningful conclusions\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy\nProactive, curious, and confident challenging or highlighting risks\nComfortable working onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative environment\nAble to communicate insights clearly across multiple teamsBH35790
