Overview We’ve partnered with a well-established, technical textiles manufacturer in their search for a Technical Sales Manager. You’ll take ownership of a defined sector, selling composite, synthetic and cuspate solutions across marine and filtration/drainage applications, building relationships with contractors, local authorities, engineers and consultants. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys selling niche, scientifically led products; the kind you’ll be proud to showcase and build credibility with. What you’ll get • Salary negotiable depending on experience, • Annual bonus, • Car allowance + business paid mileage, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, • Company pension, • Hybrid model working following full training and probationary period, • A good mix of office, travel and home working, • A stable, collaborative team with fantastic staff retention About You • You’ve got a background in technical textiles, non-wovens, materials science or similar, • Proven experience in technical or specification-led sales (or a technical background moving into sales), with a proactive approach, • A genuine passion for technical textiles; how they’re built, how they perform and where they add value, • Strong understanding of fabric performance (durability, weight, coatings etc.), with the curiosity to keep learning, • A confident presenter and communicator at all levels, • A relationship builder who takes pride in representing the business and building long-term partnerships, • Committed, driven and motivated to grow your sector over time About the role • You’ll secure specifications from early design through to installation, building trust with key stakeholders, • Promote products and protect specifications throughout the project lifecycle, • Developing relationships with contractors, local authorities and industry contacts, • Identify new opportunities and grow your sector commercially, • Confidently delivering CPDs and technical presentations, • Sharing market insight and contributing to product development conversations, • Manage your own pipeline and record activity through the CRM system, • Mainly UK travel, however there will be the occasional requirement for international trips, • Good balance of being out with customers and managing relationships day-to-day.
