As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality servicing, fault-finding, installation, commissioning, and repairs across a variety of industrial and specialist door systems. You will take technical ownership on site, supervise and mentor junior team members where required, and work collaboratively to ensure compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction at every stage of the service process. Key Responsibilities • Deliver electrical servicing, fault-finding, repairs, and commissioning across industrial and specialist doors, • Lead on-site works and act as the main technical contact for customers, • Supervise, support and mentor apprentices and less experienced engineers, • Carry out detailed site surveys and assist in scoping new installations, • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company RAMS, • Conduct safety and quality audits and provide technical feedback, • Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to management, • Support emergency call-outs and out-of-hours work as required What We’re Looking For • Time-served electrical apprenticeship or NVQ/BTEC, • 18th Edition BS7671 qualified, • Experience in industrial/specialist door systems, • Strong electrical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings, • Hands-on, solutions-driven approach with excellent communication skills, • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK and abroad) Desirable: • IOSH, ECS Card, Work at Height (IPAF/PASMA), Asbestos Awareness WHAT WE OFFER At Clark Door we believe in rewarding our team and supporting your growth. Fire Door Installer Required Long Term Freelance Contract Market Leading Fire Protection Specialist We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fire Door Installer to join our specialist works team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and remedial works of fire doors , ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications. Liaise with site management to provide updates on progress and completion of works. Communicate any issues or delays at the earliest opportunity. Maintain professional conduct and a clean, tidy working area at all times. Follow RAMs and adhere strictly to Health & Safety requirements. Ensure correct use, care and maintenance of tools and equipment. Ensure all works meet project QA standards and fire protection requirements. Requirements: Proven experience as a Fire Door Installer / Fire Door Technician . Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, standards and installation methods. CSCS Card (essential).
