Solution Architect Location: Durrington, Worthing (Hybrid working arrangements, on site presence will be required)Rate: £800 per day (Inside IR35)Contract Length: Initial 6 months (expected to extend to 12 months) We are recruiting an experienced Solution Architect on behalf of our leading utilities client to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Case Management solutions across critical operational areas. This role will play a key part in modernising and automating complex business processes, ensuring systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with wider organisational architecture. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design • Design end-to-end architectures for case-driven processes, including intake, triage, investigation, resolution, and reporting., • Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical solution designs., • Define data models, workflow structures, and orchestration patterns to ensure scalability and maintainability., • Lead configuration and extension of enterprise case management platforms, including:, • Case data structures and relationships, • Workflow automation, rules engines, and decision logic, • Forms, portals, dashboards, and user experience components, • Integration capabilities (APIs, event frameworks, connectors), • Facilitate workshops to define case types, workflow variations, SLAs, and reporting needs., • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate designs and ensure operational alignment., • Produce architectural artefacts including solution blueprints, integration maps, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams., • Establish architectural guardrails and governance models., • Conduct design assurance reviews to ensure solutions are secure, robust, and performance-optimised., • Drive continuous improvement through automation, platform enhancements, and process optimisation. Technical Skills • Strong experience designing and delivering solutions using enterprise case management or workflow automation platforms., • Deep knowledge of:, • Case lifecycle management and workflow orchestration, • Rules-based decisioning and dynamic routing, • Data modelling and auditability, • Integration patterns (REST, SOAP, event-driven messaging, identity integration), • Azure background and familiarity with cloud security best practices., • Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable technical architectures., • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills., • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments., • Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SAFe Architect)., • Experience in public sector, utilities, financial services, or healthcare environments., • Exposure to operational transformation, service design, or process optimisation initiatives., • Candidates with varied technology experience (not cloud-migration-only focussed). They seek a Commercial lead to oversee a series of projects for a prestigious client and thus further strengthen their regional commercial team. They are looking for a strong Senior QS/MQS or Commercial Manager who can lead on a £30m+ project portfolio, ideally someone whom also has the ambition and potential to grow with this leading business. Responsibilities * Reporting to the Commercial Director * Preparing & agreeing commercial strategies for projects at tender stage through to site, and as each project develops. * Leading NEC subcontract procurement and negotiation and Commercially challenging the construction process as, being hands on with projects and staff yet able to contribute at strategic level. * Assisting with the management of any significant commercial, legal & contractual issues. * Lead the pricing of high-value compensation events * Lead the down-selection and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers ensuring best value and compliance with project requirements Foster collaborative relations with the client, project stakeholders and supply chain partners * Provide commercial assurance, dispute avoidance. analysing contract issues, risks & opportunities within tenders and ensuring these are built into the commercial strategy. * Manage the procurement of key work packages from pre-tender through to contract award * Prepare and issue invitations to Tender (ITT) and Manage the full tender process Liaising with clients, subcontractors & consultants as required. * Management and mentoring/development of junior commercial staff. Requirements * Minimum 5 years as a Senior QS or higher, ideally working for a main/sub-contractor on projects valued between £5M and £50M. * Strong experience of NEC Contract (essential), ensuring compliance with contractual processes and timelines * Someone who can manage a portfolio of projects with a combined value of a minimum £30M+. * Ability to confidently challenge, review, and validate cost build-ups and estimates from team members and subcontractors * Ideally degree educated with a career demonstrating ambition, loyalty and progression. * A large proportion of your experience should ideally be in the commercial, mixed use, retail, leisure and/or industrial sectors. * Experience in defence sector is desirable but not essential * Someone with an interest in dispute avoidance and construction/contract law may be desirable * Must be eligible to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance * Sole UK nationality is required for security clearance eligibility This is an exceptional long term role with a leading UK construction business, with a great team and company culture.
