Property Surveyor\n\nLocation: Remote working (Covering sites in Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and surrounding areas)\n\nJob Type: Full time, Permanent\n\nContracted Hours: 37.5 per week\n\nSalary: £47,000 per annum, plus £5,800 car allowance\n\nAs a Property Services Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our homes safe, secure and well-maintained so residents can continue living independently. Managing a portfolio of properties, you’ll balance inspections, compliance and repairs delivery to ensure our homes meet the highest standards.\n\nWhat will you be doing?\n\n * Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across a defined region, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.\n\n * Carry out site visits, pre- and post-inspections, and quality checks to ensure works meet required standards.\n\n * Manage contractors to deliver repairs, void works, adaptations, and minor planned works effectively.\n\n * Oversee complex repairs, variations, and orders, ensuring cost control and timely delivery.\n\n * Monitor and manage WIP levels, ensuring performance targets and service levels are achieved.\n\n * Identify and resolve damp, mould and condensation (DMC) issues in line with regulatory requirements.\n\n * Support resolution of complaints, ensuring learning drives service improvement.\n\n * Provide technical support for incidents including fires and Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs).\n\n * Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulations, fire safety standards and HHSRS.\n\n * Work collaboratively with residents, contractors and housing colleagues to maintain safe, high-quality homes.\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\n\n * Strong knowledge of building pathology within a housing environment.\n\n * Experience in responsive repairs, voids, planned works and contractor management.\n\n * Good understanding of health and safety legislation, Building Safety Regulations and fire safety.\n\n * Ability to manage WIP, performance data and service delivery effectively.\n\n * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills across complex repair issues.\n\n * Excellent communication skills with ability to engage residents and stakeholders.\n\n * Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.\n\n * HNC/HND equivalent experience in building/construction (essential).\n\n * Degree or Working towards MRICS or MCIOB (desirable).\n\nYour Wellbeing, Your Future, Your Career\n\n * Annual leave of up to 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (buy & sell scheme available)\n\n * 24/7 digital GP, mental health support and virtual physio via (email address removed)\n\n * Free eye tests and flu jabs to support on-the-road work\n\n * Pension contributions up to 10% + free life assurance at 3x your annual salary\n\n * Buy extra holiday and access to a 24/7 confidential advice line\n\n * Savings on tech, travel and essentials, plus optional Health Cash & Dental Plans\n\n * Ongoing career development\n\nAnchor – A Great Place To Work\n\nAnchor is England’s largest specialist housing provider, managing 54,000 homes across 1,500 locations.
