Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people., • Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive., • Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan., • Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose., • Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns., • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people., • Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate., • Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard. • Passionate about making the difference to the lives of young people in care., • Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years., • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred at point of application, if not then you must be enrolled on the Level 5 within 6 months of starting in post., • Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements., • Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership., • Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication., • Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour., • Driving License: Full UK required.
